if anyone hasn't seen it, the story about the women's football is simply unbelievable - no idea what goes on at the FA anymore

I'm right there with you Norway...I don't understand it

let's see if I can create some logic
either a) we need the money or b) we don't
    - if we don't then don't sell him
    - if we do need the money, then surely just hang on a bit until someone gets desperate - or are we going to find that he's actually got a dodgy knee or something?

and if we do need the money, then there's presumably a level at which selling him makes sense (£5m? £10m) - but what I don't understand is why sell him so early in the summer?

    nope, no logic at all

I'm all for cashing in on opportunities - Ashley Young was a great bit of business, even though it did basically condemn us to go down, but Danny for £3.5m?

How much is each place worth in the Football League? £50k? £100k?

    hmmm

and if we do need the money, then surely that's covered by the (presumably unbudgeted) Sarries income next season?

    I don't know

Norway - you're at 99.9% activity - is it possible to get to 100%?

one more quick one - can I be a bit controversial?

I think Murray has done the right thing by pulling out of the Davis Cup - I don't think it does us any good if he basically wins ties at the level we are now in single handedly

the kids need exposure to tough matches...what I do not understand is why no one else is coming through the ranks - Murray has been near the top for a few years now, where's the hungry 17 / 18 / 19 year olds?

PS I am Scottish so possibly a touch biased...

Nothing on the offish sites and danny hasnt been tweeting , so a small percentage chance it wont go through! If I was Danny I would stall and wait to see what other offers come in! Just because the club has accepted the bid doesnt mean that someone else could come in with a better one for Danny!
All it has done is say we are happy with £3.5m for him! So it will be hard to get much more than that! ,but imagine if Newcastle made a late bid of 4m ! Safe in the knowledge that we would accept, and gazump swansea prob wont happen ,but you get my point!

Quick question, what is the trigger amount in dannys contract agreed by Jimmy Cabbage that the club are forced to accept? Might it be errrrrr £3.5MM?

It would explain the stepping of bids a bit like probing the reserve price on e-bay but doesn't necessarily spell out the end game

If it was 2.5 then we would have had to accept the QPR bid

The clause I think was that we had to allow the player to talk to the club it wasnt a trigger to say yes your sold , shut the door on the way out!!

What this does show is a total lack of ambition and balls from the leadership, and as Elixir has said GT`s silence is deafening!
