Just back from the thereatre of nightmares, apart from my defensive liabilities piece. Awful.

The one thing though. I don't expect an answer for a few days on this. Ak I think I saw you passing. There was a tall hairy chap with a white tshirt with AKUREYRI writen on it by the coaches on Vicarage Road after the game. Was that you? I would have come and said hello but was going towards the hospital and when I realised you had gone.

A definite end of season feel to the game today. It was the most insipid midfield performance we've managed for a while and I felt sorry for Weimann and Graham, who ran themselves into the ground but rarely got much support from anyone else. As always, Taylor battled away in attack and defence, but Hodson, Loach, and Doyley inspire less and less confidence as the games go by. Not one to remember for long.

There's been some people saying "blood the youngsters" but let's be honest here....our team is young enough as it is!!!!!!!

As far as I see it......at worst 2 or 3 players will leave us this Summer.....the players that might replace them are already playing at least 15 minutes each game so it's not like we have to worry about blooding our youngsters as they already get their chances......

We shouldn't give up yet.....you never know we might just win enough games to sneak into the top 6......even if we don't though it's best to try anyway.....and we can't afford to drop our experienced players as without them our squad is way too young. If Graham goes then we need to bring a striker in with experience......hopefully someone else on the cheap who can try and replicate Graham's form.

morning all! Off to work, still a little heavy hearted after yesterday. Well said MadMoose, you do talk sense lots! And i was thinking too, with DG missing so many golden opportunities in the last two games, he might have dropped himself off the radar..or is that just wishful thinking ;).

Caramel latte will have to wait today!

Laters all, have a great day :) View attachment 1964

    Hornette you're too kind >_<

I was thinking we might be able to pick up a League One/Two striker on the cheap if they had not so long on their contract left.

I don't think there's a lot of good strikers in League One who we could afford.....but League Two wise maybe.....I think looking at the SPL is good too.

If not either of those....it's the loan market again. That said....if we're going to be getting another Drinkwater we might as well not bother.

Afternoon all - busy day in the W_Y dacha. I need to finish some work I am behind on and proof read Mrs W_Y's latest Uni assignment before I can contemplate a View attachment 1966 or 2 ;). Let's hope we've got those games out of our system come Tuesday night - I have only got a few more games left this season that I can attend, so need a bit more passion in the team...:emoticon-0116-evilg

Moose Iwas suggesting bringing some of our youngsters and fringe players(like gilmartin, murray massey Isaac etc ) to give them 1st team experience now when it doesnt matter rather than the beginning of next season when it does!
Anyone that thinks DG will be with us next season is deluded, the club is hard up, we didnt sell in the last window and we deperately need cash in the next!
We are far to far behind for play offs now !!!! So plan for next season minus the likes of DG DC and JE etc Hence my belief we would be better served bringing in the next wave of players!

Norway - Agree with you, we will sell again big time in the Summer, the same as 2 seasons ago. But we desperately need some defenders, so we either need to buy lower down the leagues of get a decent loan player or 2. I know that Doyley is a great crowd favourite, but he is just not a good footballer and is past he's sell by date. So that is the gap, we have not get anything in depth in defence and certainly no LB we can bring in...also it would not surprise me if someone came in for Buckley as well.
