i know i could post this on the countless number of threads relating to the henderson/n'gog deal but i thought id create my very first thread! go me! ive read both the safc site and the liverpool site and there is no mention of n'gog coming to sunderland it just mentions that a fee has been agreed. skysports are reporting that liverpool are paying £20 million and n'gog could possibly go the other way (not definate). Chris Young, the sunderland echo reporter, is stating on twitter that the deal IS £20million in cash and the n'gog deal is seperate and whatever fee we arrange with Liverpool will be knocked off the £20mil. There is no mention of this mythical £7million figure other than caulkin at the times (granted he has been right about things in the past but i bet he has been wrong in the past aswel). i feel we should reserve judgment on both of these deals until all the facts are confirmed and the true figures are revealed. even if it is all true i bet most of the people on this board and the smb would of taken £13million plus n'gog at the end of the season due to all the grief the lad was getting in the 2nd half of the season.

Problem is we never make it over that brink. Selling Bent (for whatever reason) and now a potentially world class talent in Henderson is seen as moving in the wrong direction. We are quick to judge on here. We have WUMs. We had one of the greatest 'inside' men on the web.....forget Caulkin...we had Big Chris. Luckily you won't get to meet him. Constantley living in hope...i honestley dont know what id do if we won something, would be strange haha! imagine what the boards would be like if we signed kevin phillips from watford now! thered be hell on saying he's not big name player etc etc we should only judge players when weve seen them in our colours and not what theyve done in the past.
SSN are saying that the fee is 16.5 mil and N'gog. However, until the deal is finished i guess this is all speculation.

There is no such thing as a swap deal in football, 2 players cannot just swap clubs, So the way clubs get round it is to sell 1 player (Henderson) at a higher price, and then the club uses the money to buy the player going the other way (N'gog). N'gog will have clauses in his contract for loyalty and possible a sell on fee, so the £7m being quoted will be covering the fee for the player and any fees owed to the player, his agent and possibly his previous club
