A sensible post for a change. I know I slag off Glasgow but I actually love the place. Spent many a fine time in the City. I am not a big fan of the likes of the Commonwealth Games or the Olympics but I have watched a fair bit of these games. Really enjoyed it and Glasgow can be rightly proud of hosting these games. Put on a great show for the fans. Glasgow, to me anyway, is the true capital of Scotland. Well done.
The one gripe is the road cycling should have started out at loch Lomdon and finished in Glasgow, rather than circuits around city centre.
I would have loved to have gone to the Games but didn't have a clue how to get tickets. Seems there was a cock-up with the website and tickets for these events get snapped up straightaway. It looks like everyone there had a great time and Usian Bolt was immense last night.
My favourite was the 13 year old girl from Shetland winning bronze in the para swimming. Her infectious giggling and laughing in the post race interview lifted my spirits. What a cracker she was.
Tickets were avaialble for some events but it's worth coming to Glasgow for the Bike Racing and the Marathon and Triathlons alone. The City has been buzzing for two weeks, we'll miss it when it's gone
^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thinks and types about *****philia all the time. Definitely an Ayrshire ***** who frequents the theatre. They go hand in hand just like STD and his young girls.
England will only get stronger without Scotland dragging it down. England quite rightly wants Scotland to vote Yes. Then we shall see Scotland sink without trace. Time for any reasonable and non nationalist person to desert this xenophobic and racist country which will be run by backward skirt wearing heathens.
Fantastic couple of weeks in the city. The City centre was absolutely mobbed, shame it has to end. A big well done to the Nigel's too. Shame on NI though, pish as per.
