A cracking start to the game, should have taken our chances better, Best in particular with the rebound. Good goal from Nolan, ball in from Tiote was Barton quality, look like we would start to crack on from then, but it just didn't click. Their goal was very sloppy on our part, gave the ball away in bad positions and gave Sturridge too much time to shoot. The sending off was stupid, in the middle of the park, no immediate danger and yet he goes in high, 2 footed, correct decision by the ref. Defensively we did well after that, and we could have won it with a Ranger offside goal and a Kuqi penalty appeal (This is what i've read, stream went down). Overall, with the other results going our way, it feels a bit like Blackburn... where if we had won we would have been in an excellent position.. We were definitely the stronger team in the first half, by a mile. It was more even in the second half. Bolton were rarely on top, despite what the beeb reported. Sloppy goal to concede, possible penalty which many are saying should have been? Offside goal..but seen similar goals given before. Good performance.
