As we enter the final third of the season what do people think of our prospects. I am of the opinion that we will get the required points to see us safe for another season and that there is a good chance that 40 points won't be required to stay up. Looking at the games that Fulham and Cardiff have left I cant see either team besting 36 points. Hull and Sunderland both have cup prospects on top of the battle to stay up and I believe Norwich have some stinkers at the tail end of the season. So what does everyone else think.
Well I will talk with ye JM, I think everyone else has departed up the Vale It is arguably the most unpredictable season that I can remember, take our results for example!!, nor so close with only a good result or two between being 10th or 17th. I think the main difference this season that we are scoring goals, unfortunately at the expense of our once excellent defence. Huth and Bego being out at the same time made a huge difference to u, and our goal difference suffered. At least Pulis had about 7 centre backs in his 25!!! I think that we will just about scrape it though, thanks (as you say) to there being other teams worse than us. Having said that, we usually play badly against those teams and get very few points...oh I don't know. Fingers crossed anyway. Cheers matey
For my part I think we will stay up. I think that 40 points may well be needed this year. I hope to be proved wrong on that but the sooner we win another couple of games perhaps starting with ArseNIL the better.
