Doubt we'd turn down the Europa League. I'm sure Nigel would love it and fans could get a nice couple of away days to look forward to.
I'm sure, deep down, the premier league chairmen like being in the league cup. They know that even if they play the u18's they'll still get 10-15000 mugs turning up.
That's effectively what I've been wanting years, just put in a different way. I've said scrap the League Cup, and if that causes issues for Championship teams then expand the JPT to include them as well (although in an ideal world, I wouldn't have the Championship teams in the JPT - and to be honest, I think with so many Championship teams aiming for promotion to the PL these days, I don't really see why they would be fussed about losing the League Cup).
