Fair play to Wales, I thought Slovakia would be too good for them. Just got up, 04 :30 here in Oz for the England game. Just showed a srat that England have never won their opening Euro game... Not sure that will change tonight TBH, can see a score draw in our opener. Wouldn't be too disappointed with that, Russia are a good side.
Just been announced that Bale is only player from the British Isles to score direct from a free kick in all the Euro's
Haven't seen it yet. I do hope Wales qualify, unlike most Scots & Welsh who always want England to fail, I like nothing more than to see the Home nations do well. I just didn't think Wales would, but happy to be proven wrong!
Bale's free kick wasn't bad, but the keeper was poorly positioned, but big Eric's was pure class, hit so hard no keeper was saving that
Bale normally goes right, this time the keeper moved that way to soon so he put it the other side. Pissed off with Diers I've got him in my fantasy team but only as a sub so wanted Kane to score
Unlucky ROD, I think Sterling has been awwful tonight,,pace yes, but nothing else, no decent final ball, looks reluctant to shoot, we need to find a fix there. That said I don't think England can play this formation and this 11 against the better sides later in the competition.
Bigger, that defensive frailty exposed. Just shows you gotta take your chances, we didn't deserve that, we will play lot worse than that in this tournament and win
Last minute goals piss me right off, not been this pissed off since the West Brom goal in the 95th minute, so mad Watched Wales earlier, thought they were great, however Martin Skrtel is a dirty bastard, should have been sent off the cheating bastard
Might as well call them Bales from now on - with more 75% of his country's goals scored or created in the tournament as a whole, what would they be without him?
At least England won't have to play against him, can't see that he won't get at least one yellow against Russia.
Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but I'm not entirely sure what Hodgson should have done fundamentally different - England dominated the game and were hit by a bit of a sucker punch. I'd just ask, who would you rather have and who was the last England manager you actually rated?
