Our Europa League squad looks like it's going to be limited to 21 players. The rules state you need 4 club trained players and 4 association trained players, and any unmet criteria has to be filled by leaving blank spaces. We've an abundance of association trained players, but not a single club trained player (at least, no proper seniors, I'm sure some of the youth graduates will qualify, but they're unlikely to play any part). We also have no one of note who qualifies for the u-21's list - the criteria to be classed as an u21 are obviously the age, but the player has to have spent a minimum of two consecutive full seasons at the club without break. So with those restrictions in mind, using our current squad which 21 players will Brucey pick? Which would you pick? Who will get left out? I bet leaving any players out of this squad will be one of Bruce'ys toughest managerial choices of his life. Goalies McGregor Jakupovic Harper Defenders Davies Chezzy McShane Rosey Figueroa Bruce Elmo Midfielders Huddlestone Livermore Meyler Quinn Snodgrass Ince Brady Forwards Long Jelavic Sagbo Aluko That would currently leave Dudgeon and Boyd out, but Brucey wants another 3 in, if he got them all in, who could you drop from that squad? I'm certain he'll leave his son in the squad regardless, I have a feeling it would be Sagbo, Quinn and Rosey who miss out. Not the 3 I would pick but the 3 I think would get axed. It's going to be a real selection headache for certain.
Is Figueroa definitely a City player for another season? I thought he only got a one year contract last summer. And he wasn't that great was he?
