Interesting article looking back to Don Hutchison. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/540133323?-11204 Hutch leaving was to Reidy what Bent leaving was to Bruce.
Good player Hutchinson and we did miss his goals from midfield. Goal scoring midfielders, especially creative ones as well, are worth as much as any striker in my books and DH was certainly both of them. Its funny but I remember the goal at the Sports Direct and that celebration and there can be no doubts that he was no mag supporter because no boyhood mag could have been so delirious having scored against them for Sunderland, in their back yard. Never. I wonder if the sight and sound of Bruce celebrating likewise in a derby victory, may have swayed a few (myself included) to believing he too wasnt a mag in disguise. The fact remains though that SB presided over 3 of the worst derby performances in living memory and certainly the worst result in my life time so we shall never know the answer to that one. That said, I dont think DH has been spotted attending his boyhood idols after he left SAFC as SB has been spotted last week at the ASDA, so I think that answers itself really. Come to think of it, Bruce went to watch his boyhood team whilst he was STILL our manager so what am I saying. The bloke is a mag through and through. Hutchinson wasnt and isn't.
Blimey Cest. Where the hell did all that come from. All I meant was the day I heard Hutch was off I was gutted. We had a good team under Reidy, a really good team which was never the same from that day on. Moving forward if you replace Hutch for Bent and Reid for Bruce...Same cause, same effect. Is it true Bruce was at the Sports direct Where-house last week? He loves to back a loser dosen't he.
Hutch was like bent, as far as SAFC were concerned, traitor, but the last laugh, is WHO ARE YA, WHERE ARE YA?
I firmly believe that if Sunderland had signed him the previous season ( fee was a 'problem') we would have been in Europe.. .. another case of 'what might have been' ....
