One thing we can't complain about is luck with the tosses! I think we've won all but two. Ironically the two we lost resulted in our 2 wins!

 

And Turner does play along with Crane. No Fuller.

 

Donald joins Derbyshire on a short term loan. Ridiculous - he should be playing for us.

 

Ah, Fuller is ill. Still, Crane could be very useful on days 3 and 4.

 

Aggressive start - I like it!

 

So, Hants going all Baz-ball means we're 51-1 and not 20-1.

 

Nice to see Kent doing to Surrey what Surrey normally do to other teams.

 

And even with the extra half hour Kent make it to tea 9 down. Evison and Hogan.

It's only a short term injury cover for the start of the t20s (or at least that's what it currently is).

So long as it doesn't turn into anything longer, I'm actually massively in support of it. After two years injured, he did look incredibly rusty in the t20s last season - we had little choice but to drop him. Hopefully this will give him a chance to score some runs, and come back to us a better player. (And if he fails instead, well we won it last season without him anyway.)

Congrats to John Turner for his first CC wicket.

 

It does feel like we've been getting the rub of the green with the umpire decisions today.

I'm not complaining, but I'd rather we got them in a "bigger" game. It's a bit of waste to get them in this game, because we should be winning it anyway.
