Oh no, not Judgie...:( 62 is no age.
One of my heroes and nobody hit a square drive harder.
Sheer brilliance here with what was a record ODI score for England at the time...

Dreadful news. He was my favourite player as a kid. I absolutely loved watching him and remember buying my first bat from Holt & Haskell when he was involved. They had one of his signed bats on display and I remember thinking it was enormous. In my mind the handle was as thick as my arm.

Such a sad loss, one of my favourite players for both Hampshire and England. Scored an incredible 26,151 first class runs in his 22 years at Hampshire.

    RIP Judge <rose>

Very sad news. Brilliant batsman for Hampshire and England. Loved watching him or his brother Chris winning the match for us in those big one day matches at the County ground back in the day

My feelings exactly. I took my Dad to his only match at ‘The Rose Bowl’ Hampshire v Australia, July 2001. Robin came to crease and then we watched 113 runs, quite a day!! So sad to see such a player pass away at just 62.

Sounds mildly ridiculous, but I’ve spent the last three days with Brett Lee in Dubai. He’s flying out tonight to commentate on the Ashes games, but was with Judge last week. It’s a very upsetting story all round. RIP Robin.

(On a lighter note, Brett has said next time I’m out he’s challenging me to a game of cricket with a taped up tennis ball. Sod that).

Forgot about posting on here. Was a real cricketing hero of mine. I remember watching the B&H cup final when he scored 38 No to win the game for Hampshire. Does not sound a lot, but was a match winning innings in a low scoring game. This got him in the England team. It was only really Smith who stood up to the all conquering Aussies in 89. He followed that up with brave performances in the Windies batting along his mate Lambie.
Met him in pub in Whiteparish. Really top bloke and sadly gone far too early. His autobiography is worth a read

England are 98-2 at tea (technically lunch) Duckett and Pope both quacked and Crawley has fifty.

Never, ever a run there. Just plain stupid from someone who should know better. At least Root had the sense to say no and didn't run himself out.

And so, for what feels the millionth time, England's hopes rest on Root's shoulders.
