Another 3 points sees us 4th and handily placed.

But, Telford are a team that we should beat and it sounded like we made hard work of it. The ref sounded like a total fruit loop, but thankfully gave us most of the decisions.

It's crystal clear that we need another striker and this MUST be an urgent priority. I want to see someone in the building this week as we simply cannot close games out with our current strikeforce. Our lack of a cutting edge up front will be found out by better sides than Telford. Take FGR for example - today they were 3-0 down at home after an hour, but their strikers pulled it back to 3-3 - there's no chance the Gas could recover from a losing position like that.

Well done to Ollie Clarke with another good strike and to the 895 Gasheads who made the trip up to Shropshire <applause>

It also means touching distance to Barnet who have played 1 game more than us. Win that and they drop points who knows?!

10 points above us - we have a game in hand. 25th Nov at home to them is going to be a massive game.

Personally, I don't think we'll catch them - they are brilliant at getting last-minute goals like today. We need to cement our place in the playoffs and win those to go up.

Given our lack of goals we've done really well to be in this position.

While no strikers scored for them yesterday, I take your point of FGR Baldee because they've got goals right across their team and although lots of players are scoring for us, the volume of goals is too low.

We have indeed done well considering our lack of goals AMOT, which indicates to me that the rest of our play is pretty effective, it's just the goal threat that's missing. Another clean sheet yesterday was very welcome. As you say, we are not scoring enough goals right through the team, but the burden must lie with the strikeforce.

We've got a better run in than Barnet, so if we can stay close I think we can overhaul them...

Possibly, but 10 points is a big ask with Barnet in their current form. Let's see where we stand at 10pm on the 25th....

regarding barnet, recently they lost a couple of games and we failed to take advantage at these times where we only managed to get a draw ourselves. if we had won those 2 games instead then we would have 4 more points meaning be just 6 points behind them with a game in hand which if we win, would have been just 3 points behind them and still yet to play them at home where we should have advantage. win that then we are level on points. however our inability to score more meant we didnt win those 2 games but instead only drew.

looking at the table, the have score 22 more goals than us. while conceding 2 less goals than us. DC says he has made an offer to get a striker in on loan but the other team has accepted but said we must wait to get him. wonder who he is.

Wot? Is that where you'll be standing at 10pm on the 25th? Makes a change from lying in a pool of your own vomit I suppose ;)

    Hearing from who?

He would be dynamite in the Conference - brilliant for Peterborough, ****e for Hull and Bradford but would do a job for us.

    Highly unlikely though....

I'd like to know who our potential target is though. It'll probably be someone we've never heard of like Cunnington.

But as long as they find the back of the onion bag....
