Nathan Ellington is being loaned out to Scunthorpe Utd on an intial 1 month loan. I can't see him coming back here tbh and I think he's found his level at Scunny. Another Jewell dud that I will be glad to see the back of! Let the clear out begin.

Never got the chance at PR, but another one off the wage bill frees funds up for someone who might actually be involved with the first team.

    Good luck Nathan.

I genuinely thought given a run of games he could offer us something, he was never going to set the world alight but with his size and stature I thought he'd be involved more. He wasn't given a lot of opportunities but you have to say that he obviously didn't prove himself worthy of many and so we move on and free up space at the club for someone more determined to have a go

Why do we need Ellington when we have a far better striker... Jason Scotland.

Because for spells over the past we've had Chops and Scotland as our only 2 recognised strikers at the club and therefore Martin played where he did behind the striker. Not saying he should have played, but would have been nice to see him have a few more minutes so we have more justification to slate him for being utterly useless.

That's why I'm not slating Nathan. You can say what you like about PJ bringing him here, but Nathan himself has done nothing wrong and so I don't have anything bad to say about him.

    ^ This

It's a new era, it's time to wipe the slate clean for everybody, even Chopra, to prove themselves to McCarthy or move on. The players have had an easy ride for far too long but that has not just been bad for results, it's been bad for the players too. Scunthorpe are actually a fantastic football club. I was sad to see them go down and thoroughly enjoyed my away days there. Good luck to Nathan.

Do not like this term 'never given a chance' bear in mind the training staff have ample time to assess any player. If they can not produce the goods in a practice enviroment, then what chance do they have in a fully competitive first team match, we must have faith in the coaching staff in their judgement. We say the same about every player that leaves us, without playing any games, or very few. We said the same about Peters, and he still has not found a professional club, looks like the back room staff made the right decision. Think people are far too nice, there is no sentiment in football, and nore should there be.

I love the fact that the swear filter filters out Scunthorpe!

I wonder if it does the same for Arsenal, Cockfosters and Bentwaters?

Can't turn it off on the mobile site, but it seems it's more fun with it on.

    No time for sentiment eh?

Does that go for the likes of Hyam et al who a lot feel is being hard done by?
I agree to a degree, and that's why I'm not harping on about Hyam being in the team. If Reo and N'daw are better then that's the way it is.
