That was a close game NNW - I did feel it could still go either way - but my pawns were looking pretty unstoppable I suppose

Materially I looked okay, but the two adjacent bishops and my lack of regard for my pawns was a bit much in the end. I guess I could possibly have held on for a draw, but it's difficult to see how I could have forced checkmate from there.

If I had won that match on time it would have been an extremely cheap victory.

Yes - you get no satisfaction from time winning - but I have learned from Yorkie how to put "vacation" on the game so my games are suspended while I am away. Hope to play you again soon NNW - it was an interesting game

I had a look ages ago and couldn't find anything easy to use...

Might just have to be done in the first post of this thread, if everyone posted their scores I could add them?

Still not sure how to present it, any ideas would be welcome <ok>

I think a ladder competition would work better than a league table.

Work out roughly what a league table would look like if a league finished now, flip that upside down (so that the best start at the bottom) decide how many places above you that you're allowed to challenge, announce before the start of a match that it is a ladder game, and it should be a pretty good tussle.

Sounds good! I could do it in the first post on this thread too, I'll just edit it every time a result is given.

All I need is a list of who wants to play, and also a brief breakdown of results to create the placement.

To start a ladder all you have to do is see what position we are on the global list - I am number 65239 on their stats :(
