How many leagues in the world could you be as inconsistent as us and still have a very good chance of getting the play offs. Just 4 days ago we was 7 points away from the play offs and everything was dead and buried and now we are only 3 points away. If we win and results go our way on saturday we could be in the top 6 and thats mad. We have managed back to back wins twice all season. We concede miles too many goals away from home. If we did get into the play offs when you look back at the season apart from this bit at the end we havent really shown a run of decent form. We had a little spell just after the new year but stupid results have followed. I think the FA Cup run has saved our season. It gave us a little bit of form and momentum leading into the league. Could you have a season like this in any other league and still have a chance of promotion? Dont you just love the championship?
i think if cardiff and blackpool both win then it is over, but if we win, every week you seem to make up at least 1 point, and we are 3 points (possibly 4 with brighton) behind, with 4 games left, and a good GD....
If we win 4 games we will make the play offs. No doubt about it We just need to remember that, forget everything just win the next game.
It's all about leeds united lads. Lost are last 3 games 2-0 and look good for a play off spot. We have a terrific defence at Elland road and we are really well disciplined. We are also fortunate we have a chairman who allows us to invest hugely and build our squad.
It seems to get harder and harder each year to get out of this league, but then again who (truthfully) would have given Norwich & Swansea much chance in the Prem this season?
When we got relegated we ended the season with 52 points Cov are 22nd with 39 points so even if they win their remaining 4 games they wouldnt reach our total from that year. Currently 52 points would put you 17th above Peterborough. It strange how the amount of points needed to stay up is so different year by year
But the end up getting people sent off for disgusting tackles and setting out to injure other players
It's a terrific league and such a shame that it's not the top league. That said I think the EPL is probably the weakest it's ever been and the championship the strongest, yet I still want out watching pouncy players perform for their plastic fans and once in a while putting them to the sword!
What people seem to be forgetting is that not only have leicester been inconsistent so has every other team and at the end of the day the table dont lie we are where we are on merit
Most teams are able to stick a decent run of form together. Derby won something like 6 on the bounce and lost something like the next 5. We are just inconsistent from 1 week to the next. No team has been like us where they cant win back to back albeit we have done it twice now. Plus for the quality of our squad we should be doing alot better but we have now given ourselves a chance
As a Hull fan Leicester seem the most likely to reach the play offs outside the top 6 in the remaining games, we had a good result against Boro but our 5 losing streak cost us severely in the run in, if we won at least 2 of those 5 we would be up there, Leeds are done for certain, Boro and Cardiff don't look to have the nerve or discipline, Watford and Derby look passionate and determined but it may be to late, you look the most promising in the last four games.
I think we have a better chance than Middlesborough and Brighton but I think the top 6 will stay as it is, unfortunately.
