Afternoon All, Back to work here in Leafy Bucks, bronzed and refreshed... although my back is bitching a little, must be missing the sun lounger
Early start this morning to get jobs done outside before the heat became to much. It goes very quiet in the area when the hot weather arrives as people stay in the cool of their homes. There is something to be said for these thick stone walls.
Evening from a sunny islands. Just seen an Occupational Therapist about my epilepsy and he's referring me to a technology expert about an alarm - before I meet her I have a list of alarms to look at on the internet. So much for homework ending when I finished my accountancy exams!
Good morning from a cloudy St. Helier - looks like we had rain overnight. Two people from the client that I have been working on since I started at my current employer nearly 10 years ago are coming over from London today and it'll probably be all the senior people who'll meet them.
Another splendid morning with a clear blue sky. The peace has been disturbed by the grass cutter appearing. His presence was required as the lane was slowly disappearing to less than a car's width. Need to get on as this afternoon will be a retire to the shade day.

Well he had a bit of difficulty with the last of those - it was flooded last week and the road to it was washed away...
Terrible fire in London I am up to Edinburgh today then working ( just a small job) in Brighton Friday/Saturday
I've never seen such a totally engulfing fire as this, I can't imagine how it was started but I'm guessing it must have been deliberate!
According to a report in Australian press there were safety misgivings voiced 18 months ago by residents - but didn't elaborate.
The residents association did make this statement. Members of the action group warned in 2016 they believed the building posed a fire risk, and that "only a catastrophic event will expose" the potential for a "major disaster." Following the fire, the group posted: "All our warnings fell on deaf ears and we predicted that a catastrophe like this was inevitable and just a matter of time."
