Oh, I don't think so! :emoticon-0138-think All depends on the England mindset: play the match and they should win the game comfortably; play the occasion and Scotland will get at least a point.

If that's not sitting on the fence...<laugh>

I'm guilty of that too - my head says a two or three goal margin to England, my heart says a one goal margin in Scotland's favour...

What the heck - I'll go with the latter. I'm allowed - it's my birthday today, I retired yesterday and I paid off my mortgage on Monday. Feeling lucky... :)

Well, if England fail to win this it will entirely their own fault. Very frustrating.

Morning all from a very warm rural France. The forecast is for some very hot weather for the next week, and no rain. :emoticon-0103-cool: Looks as if the watering will have to start on a grand scale. Two years ago I sowed some rhubarb seeds as I thought it would be fun to see if I could grow it here. Today I will pick the first of it as it has done really well. I was able to give some young plants away, and everyone reports it to be a success. :emoticon-0100-smile

As is common up here, we share a garden with three other houses - one of which is owned by a Yorkshire couple who use it as a holiday home. They have a small rhubarb patch which is very hardy - after every harvest, he cuts it back to ground level. I've never seen him do any other 'maintenance' on it & the patch remains the same size every year - which I find a little odd.

I arrived in the town square this morning to collect some bread, and found the pavements had been taken over by chairs, tables and colourful parasols from the Cafe des Sports. Lots of the seating was taken as people had a good gossip under the shade, and there was a steady stream of chilled drinks coming out of the bar. It seemed as if some type of fete was underway judging by the cheerful faces, but it was actually the people turning up to vote at the Town Hall that is next to the baker. Eleven candidates to choose from, and only one seat. If anyone obtains 50% of the vote that is it, but anyone who has 12.5% or more will appear on the ballot paper for the final run off next Sunday when it is winner takes all.

Good evening from a warm St. Helier. Although I didn't play, it was a reasonable day for the softball team jerzeypie and I play for with a win and a defeat from our 2 games today, which is a good day for a team which loses most of its matches. We then went for a BBQ at the home of the captain of the team we beat.
