Morning all from an overcast island. The ground is wet, meaning we had rain overnight or we had so much yesterday the ground hasn't dried fully.
We have visitors for lunch today and it's going to be a very retro event...fishcakes, goulash, crepe suzette! At least there won't be a Watney's Red Barrel Party Seven on the sideboard!
Evening all from the Var. We had the forecast yesterday of storms for this morning, but they never arrived. Instead we had another glorious sunny day, so spent the afternoon on the beach watching the boats and people go by. This evening was the the final game of the season for Chateauroux, and a 1-1 draw was enough for them to take the title. It has been a season of ups and downs, at times they looked as if they would not even get promoted, let alone win the league.
