Morning all from a wet and very windy rural France although it is very mild. The news from here is about the Mont Blanc tunnel which is 11 km long and a very busy autoroute. It seems that a possible terrorist attack has been discovered and thwarted before any damage could be done, but it does show that the security forces are more on the ball now than a year ago when the Charlie Hebdo affair took place.

Yes - they showed that on this morning's telly - it is apparently part of a video - did not know traffic cameras could do that.

It is bright and sunny in rural France today, so on with the wellies and let's see what can be done before the game starts. It would seem that my neighbour, who happens to be the Mayor, and the one from the adjoining commune are under police investigation. A complaint has been made about the two of them pushing for the wind farm while having an interest, as they own land which would be used. This is quite illegal and they could finish up in jail. The thought of them being led away in handcuffs has created quite a stir among the locals who are not used to such things. The last time the gendarmes were seen in the village was when a flock of sheep had escaped from a field and were wandering the lane.
Dave, I saw a bloke in the supermarket this evening wearing his Norwich shirt. I had a chat about it whilst his wife, who was clearly Kiwi, rolled her eyes. She just didn't understand why anyone would have a variety of Norwich shirts. She said that he had "all the shirts, except the multi-coloured one, which is the only one I want him to wear." The bloke said that he wouldn't be disappointed if they lost to Man City as the league is more important.
The league is definitely far more important, the very last thing we want is a replay! No draws please!
