Morning all from a chilly rural France. The wind has been coming from the north east for several days, although it has only been at 5 km/hour. Several people have reported ice on their windscreens first thing in the morning, but it has been quite misty until the sun breaks through. In the east of the country there has been snow at quite low levels, 400 metres, so quite pleased that I have no plans to drive through the Massif Central where the autoroute rises up to 1300 metres. I have been cleaning out my car ready for the change tomorrow. and it is amazing just how many receipts I have found in door pockets. Many of them have lost any sign of printing, so if you wished to return an item, your proof of purchase could be a blank piece of paper.
Sæl öll from the Graham Taylor Breakfast Nook. Tea and coffee, donuts and fruit are on the bar. Half and half coffee for Brian Black coffee for Bragi Flat white coffee for Yorkie Frothy for W_Y Café Allongé for OFH My managers had a meeting for everyone for three hours. I have a difficult time staying awake when the presentation is one person talking and no chance to respond.
Good morning all from a cool and dry Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and very good luck to your Golden Boys!
Afternoon all, been to collect my new (second hand) car this morning. The last one was getting old with very high mileage. Thought I should change it while it still had some value and before it cost me anymore in repairs. The new one is not so very different, but has a lot more bells and whistles that can go wrong. One careful lady driver had it before me, well I think she was careful. How they love the paperwork out here. I had to sign 16 different papers.
Rather saddened to read of the death of Howard Kendall at the tender age of 69. A good player and from my recollections a gentleman.
Morning all, it appears that the temperature is starting to climb back up a bit. The thought of needing to put any heating on before November is not good. Off for my monthly dinner date today, but it was quite difficult to find a restaurant that was not full. Many French families get together for this meal which produces lots of noise from the chatter. It all creates a good atmosphere, rather like a noisy crowd at a football ground.
Good morning all from a cold and dry Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and let's not talk about yesterday!
Morning all.. just back from a restful trip to the vineyard... A lot of work in the garden to do, some walks, drinks with friends, fires in the wood burner and a great meal out The day we arrived it was 5 degrees in the daytime and yesterday leaving Limoges it was 17 degrees
Morning all, it is still not warm but it is bright and sunny. Waiting for a phone call to say that a tonne of plasterboard is arriving at my daughters house. It all has to be moved inside, so I guess I will soon warm up. Wednesday afternoon lined up to start using it. Don't know why I thought it would be a quiet life out here.

Morning all, I intend to have a quiet day today after yesterdays efforts. What I thought would be one tonne of building materials turned out to be nine and it all had to be moved by hand. It took three of us eight hours and I now have muscles that are complaining. Mme would like me to dig some holes in some stoney ground so she can do some planting. It should be a lot less wearing.
