I am uploading my CD collection to a new hard drive and my internet connection was up and down like a prostitutes underwear yesterday. My laptop is dying slowly so I have a hard drive on a wire one side and a disk reader hanging off the other side.
What software are you using? Does it take ages? Mme Yorkie is getting at me to do away with my CDs... and I am not sure of the best way to proceed..

Fair point Leo - I believe it will be June and hopefully before the fixture lists but I will check. In the meantime I suggest we all start packing and if there is anything you do not want to bring with you perhaps you can leave it here for the QPR fans...

I think it's a combination of transfer talk / manager speculation being upper most in minds along with absences of regular contributors such as Dave and OFH that accounts for the lack of activity in here AK. Just to update you, I checked with one of the supermods (who like us has a vested interest!) to see when we'll move to the Premier League board. Apparently it usually takes place in early June but the owner's not around at the moment so it may possibly be a bit later.
While you sup on a refreshing pint or two, you might like to watch this. My internet connection is too slow, but I will watch it when I get back home.

I have digitised all my LPs, cassettes, and put my CDs on ( two) hard drives. For CDs I used either iTunes or Zune. What you need to think about is the quality you want for the copy. Most people are happy enough with MP3 but you can get cd quality if you want. There are a number of formats available with iTunes, at least. If you really want to muck about with the copies that you make use Audacity. It is free recording software but it copies in real time. Microsoft or Apple cd copying is quite fast - a couple of minutes for a cd.
