It's still around but I was waiting for some of the replays to take place before putting the matches up - otherwise it is A or B v Cor D. We still have over a week to go but if you need to post I will put it up tomorrow
Just had some good news. Our buyers pulled out of our sale in Wales a few weeks ago but then managed to do a deal on their house and came back to ask if ours was still available - we exchanged an hour ago. Atwo and a half year saga has ended !!!!!!!!!! Mrs L is pleased as punch ( I am a bit chuffed myself)
Thinking back to 'Escape to the Country' - I'd say you could afford a round of drinks all round to help celebrate...
That's great news, Leo. Why does selling a house have to be so difficult in England and Wales. Here it usually takes about six weeks once someone agrees to buy. One thing - if Mrs Leo is as pleased as Punch, is she repeating, "That's the way to do it," in a peculiar voice?
That is good news Leo. We have a Dyson that has provided excellent service over many years, yet listening to others they wouldn't touch them. Seems as if they are a bit like Marmite!

Britain knows every year there will be some small snow and is always very surprised when it arrives, the newspapers and television news think it is the end of the world. The northlands watch in wonder how a powerful nation just stops.
Morning all, we had our first snowfall of the winter overnight. Not a great amount, but enough to blanket the sound. Mme describes it as a blind mans fog. I have never heard that expression before, but can see the reasoning.
Hi there As you may remember my mum had a car crash a couple of weeks back.... well on Monday she had a stroke... she is ok now but in hospital, her mind is ok, and struggling to make words when she speaks... I will be pre-occupied with her over the next few days etc....... but will try to pop in from time to time
Great news Leo. We had a couple of Dysons, noisy things and the power cable became damaged on both. Mrs S now swears by Miele or Siebo and I think they are excellent too. So the FA cup thread is buried deep in the archive somewhere, I gave up looking after page 4. Glad its still around.
Don't believe everything you read or see in the media ak. Yes every year we have some "small snow", but it is hard to predict where it will fall and potentially cause some disruption. The northlands know there will be lots of snow and can justify spending on snowplough, studded tyres etc. etc. to counter it. A few winters ago we had a problem with local councils running out of grit for the roads - so they stockpiled it. We had virtually no snow or frost last winter so it all sat there unused. Those areas of the UK where snow can be reliably forecast (BB will know), do indeed cope very well with heavy snowfall, year after year - in fact probably better than say Germany where we also see pictures of havoc caused by the weather. I can assure you that very rarely does "a powerful nation just stop" because of snow - it's always blown up out of all proportion by the media.
Our thoughts are with her and you at this difficult time. Hoping she can get over the frustration with the speech problem and can get back to a normal life.
