Who, in law, had the right to the fathers assets ?

While I don't know the answer to this I do know that twins are the only people where the time of birth as well as the date is entered on the birth certificate. I assume that this was originally to determine the older child in the days when the oldest was likely to inherit. Perhaps in the case you quote the registrar would also note who was actually born first and why the times appear to contradict it.

Well another bright and sunny day here with temperatures expected to be around 24°C. The wind speed is zero which has to be good news. We have been threatened with 20 wind turbines which seems mad seeing as on the scale of areas over the whole country with the least wind, we are second. The next commune has been threatened with 17, but the test masts that were erected show that there is not enough wind to make the turbines viable. An inspector came to a public inquiry and issued a report against siting them in the area, but his report is not the final word on the matter. Over a thousand people from the area registered their opposition, while 54 were in favour. Of the 54, half of them would gain from having the structures on their land, while it seems that the remaining few are family members. One local mayor who would gain is in favour, but the opposition are now questioning in public if he has a conflict of interest. He made a statement suggesting that only those who were not born in the area are against, but the numbers prove him wrong.

Unfortunately NZ we will not be here. My mate has a spare ticket in a corporate box with everything included, but we will back in Bandit Country by then.

Top-flight referee Mark Clattenburg has been dropped from officiating this weekend for two breaches of protocol.
He broke Premier League code to speak on the phone to Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock after the West Brom draw.
The 39-year-old then left the ground alone to drive to Newcastle to watch pop star Ed Sheeran in concert.
The referee body, the Professional Game Match Officials Limited, says officials must travel to and from the ground together for integrity and security.
Premier League rules state that all officials must be present during a conversation with a manager, which means an official cannot make or take calls from club managers away from the ground.

I can understand refs not taking phone calls from managers without someone else being around, but the travel together bit seems strange. Where are they supposed to meet before a game and how long must they stay together after one? Maybe an armed bodyguard would be more to the point after some dubious decisions given.

Sun is blazing and a warm day expected in rural France. <cool> Sending some heat towards you I believe. :D

Another warm and sunny day here. Went to do the weekly shop and returned home via the scenic route. Autumn is very slow to appear this year. Many of the trees are still green, although the oaks are turning yellow and brown. Houses and garden walls with creepers attached are however quite colourful with vivid red leaves in abundance. A few cold nights and things will change, but I am in no hurry to see it, as I have no desire to turn the heating on. :emoticon-0100-smile

The autumn colours are well advanced here and some trees, like the birches, are already just about leafless. One or two gardens have some beautiful maples at the moment.
