Aw ffs, You've put on a brave face throughout all of this, and opened our eyes to the world of Dementia. I'm both sad for your loss mate, but also in a strange way, kinda glad that you have shared the final few weeks, if you know what i mean. Whilst we all take the piss, each and everyday, it's strange that there is actually some kind of bond between most, even though we don't really know each other. Stay strong bud, and never change.
Thanks for that mate, it's much appreciated. It's been a tough journey through dementia, and it's tested my resolve to breaking point at times. But he was my old man, he gave me life and raised me. So it was my turn to take care of him and see him out of this life as best as I possibly could. It's been a cathartic experience sharing some of this journey on here, with people, as you rightly point out are essentially strangers. It's why I have faith in people generally being good at their core (although life can **** people up) because across range of people/personalities on here, who all tear chunks out of each other at times, they all come together to offer support when somebody is struggling. I think we all essentially share the same common bond of humanity and the struggles and challenges that life throws at each and every one of us. All the very best to you fella.
The Burly death (rip) and this, along with other events, pretty much shows thar whilst we can act like ****s, i don't think any of us actually are. You're gonna be lost with the extra free time mate, maybe give you some time to care for your radishes a bit more.
Really sorry to hear that buddy, but there is no more pain, discomfort or merely existing. Remember him in his pomp and vitality and with a smile on his face. The real sadness is for you and your family having to deal with the empty space that is left, but always keep in mind that his legacy lives on through you and the family.
I moved it back to the Toon board (where it came from), because the lads testosterone was clearly calling for a late nite ****. I let it go and overlooked it in one thread, then willhoops comes along and puts his spunk stain on another thread. The problem with this is when people are at work or in front of family, we then don't know what threads to avoid from putting up some scantily dressed woman or worse. I checked the Newcastle board and it appears it was deleted for much along the same lines from what I've gathered. Although the site now shows an 18+ sign the registration system still does not verify that, so we still are as in the past at risk of being taken down by google and the mobile networks.
