    Good Morning Everyone

In a recent interview, Lasogga got asked to grade his move to Leeds Utd 1-6 (one being the best, and 6 being the worst).

This is what he said: “I would give a 2. We had a couple of defeats in the last matches and have ended up 10th, seven points back off play-off place, 6th. We can catch up in the 16 remaining games with the new coach. In the summer I have long wondered if the step to Leeds is the right one. Now I am convinced that in my situation at the HSV in the summer I got everything right.”

Sky Sports pundits Ian Wright, Dennis Wise and Liam Rosenior have offered their opinions on Heckingbottoms ER appointment.

Dennis Wise: I find it strange in those circumstances
"I can understand the attraction, Leeds United Football Club is a wonderful football club, a big club that needs to go places, I just can't understand what he's done.

"In the way that he's done it to sign on the Friday and disappear and three or four days later, I find that very, very strange in those circumstances.

"I think to myself did he know beforehand?

"Sometimes clubs come along and they look at managers knowing that they are maybe getting rid of the other one and it happens in the world of football."

Liam Rosenior: Stability is needed at Leeds
"You don't want to point fingers but I think Riyad Mahrez should get the number off Paul Heckingbottom's agent!

"Sometimes these things come up and it's hard, you talk about loyalty in football with Mahrez and you have personal ambitions that you want to fulfil and maybe Paul Heckingbottom wants to manage the biggest club possible in his career at this time and Leeds is a huge football club.

"Huge football club with huge potential, as a manager there in terms of your timespan that you've got to work with a team, they need to have some stability at that football club if they want to get back to where they probably believe they should be.

"In the size of the club they should be a Premier League side, there needs to be some stability at that football club and if he gets that time in order to implement his processes, then he has a good chance of success there."

Ian Wright: He's putting himself on the line
"You say that but you've got Leeds and the way Leeds are currently, they are trigger happy.

"For him to leave Barnsley, which obviously they love him and he done great for them like we are just hearing, to go to a place that is so volatile in the way that they sack managers...

"He's given up a lot in respects of his love for Barnsley and what the Barnsley fans will think of him.

"I'm not sure what they do think of him right now.

"To go to Leeds, a place where it is pretty unstable itself in the way that they treat managers, I think he's taking a big chance there and we all know it's a massive club, I suppose it's worth trying to take the chance but I think he's put himself on the line."

Only Wise can comment on the club IMO, but the other two. I really don't care or listen to what so football pundits think of our club.<ok>

Morning all. I understand people babbling on about this whole stability thing at the club. But, if it’s obvious, the wrong man is in the job, what can you do only replace him. No point in keeping a useless coach for three seasons while we lose nearly every game just for the sake of being stable. Still believe, new man should have a big input in summer signings now that we know what division we’ll be in. However, with Orta around, he’s still going to be calling the shots

Morning all, anyone with any ambition would jump at the chance,to stay at Barnsley is to be happy in the lower leagues for ever and probably doubled his wage at the same time.

At the moment because of everything thats happened at the club for the last dozen years, the perception is we are badly run, trigger happy, and do things on the cheap. Radz wants this to end and is doing his best but its early days. The fans and the management want stability and we have to hope this new guy gets the chance to show his potential, but he needs to do it fast and in a febrile atmosphere. Radz in my view should have gone to a Big Mick type manager where you know he would have done a job, you hope. Warnock didnt do a job for us though did he, and yes he was working for a psycho but ....

Always had a lot of time for Lassoga and think under this manager we will get to see him at his best. Dont think Thomas played a system that encouraged an old type CF, hope I'm right. Wonder if we see Lassoga and Roberts in tandem.

Good Morning to Matt and Co from a very sunny Bardsey
I wish PH the very best and I too don't believe AR id a hire fire owner I thought he was very patient with TCand so I think PH will get a fair crack and hopefully advise Orta on who to buy in summer

Morning all we have our new coach and he came over well in his first interview. In the brief shots I saw of the Barnsley team before they sold their best players they looked to be a team going places.I look forward to seeing a Leeds team playing football worthy of the club.

    Morning all...

Rads obviously has faith in the quality signed by Orta, he thinks they are good enough for top 6. I was just going to jump all over the Lasogga comments questioning how he could “suddenly” become good due to a new coach but Docs comments make sense, I think we’ll see a new formation.

I mentioned in another thread I think it will be more 4-3-3 but I read somewhere that Heckingbottom likes to play 4-1-3-2 which would make sense when you look at who and what we have.

I’m feeling a bit more positive about his appointment today, we needed a change, whether it’s the right change or if it goes deep enough (Orta) we shall see. If this new guy turns us around and makes us look dangerous then surely come the end of the season if he goes to Orta and Rads and says this guy will make the difference they’ll listen?

Just read a decent article in a German sports mag has a great interview with Lassoga. He comes over as a genuine guy full of passion and loves Leeds Utd. He wants to help get promotion and says Rio Ferdinand and Mark Viduka are heroes here and he wants to be too. I forgot about his nickname in Germany 'Machine' here's a snippet.

Telling the German magazine his new daughter wears a Leeds romper with ‘Machine’ and number 9 on the back, Lasogga says he feels he’s getting closer to his old nickname: “I am well on the way to seeing myself as a goal machine again. I am satisfied with my return. But there could have been two or three more. As a striker you are always on the hunt for goals. I cannot get enough of goals.”

Hopefully the squad have learned a lot from the experience of the past few weeks. Whatever the problems they seem to want to want to play for the club and we know they are capable of playing football. Lets hope Paul H is the man who can get them pulling together. Good luck lads.

    Stupid sendings off.

Controlled aggression, not getting bullied off the ball, or falling over when an opposing player breathes on you. Doesn't mean diving in like a lunatic or spitting at people because you're a bit upset.

They were mainly for spitting and farting and by smaller members of the squad. Hardly call it aggression
