Harte was laughing and joking as he left TA. At half time. When we were 2-0 down. If he'd stayed, he might have seen us fight as we bossed the second half. Didn't think there were as many Spaniards playing as usual today, tbh. Edit: Oops! It was 2-1. We scored seconds before the end of the first 45. Thinking about the team, I can only think of about 3 Spaniards playing. And, like Harte, I've previously criticised the dugout shouting instructions in Spanish. Today they weren't shouting in any language.
Thats been the case but new direction now so we are trying to get them again, but 5 years lost talent. So yes some ovwrseas talented kids makes sense but the U23s is mainly overseas now and the spread of players over postions is a joke with 7 CBs & 7 CFs because its obvious 5 will not be playing in a match, maybe one sat on the bench or are we going to play 3 at the back. Just doesnt make sense to have these so called talented kids who will not play much
That's all I meant mate, we need to make our academy / youth teams look attractive to stop the drain to City, particularly as they've little chance of making the 1st team there. Mind you, if you're already on 25K a week, who gives a **** about making the 1st team. That is better paid than 90odd percent of championship players I'd guess.
