I have no problem with the Academy system they're trying to build.
SW, just realised I missed you off the Wallies thread list. You coming up for the match?

okay, let's try and clear up the "transfer questions" ... we have NEVER heard ANYONE from the club say in advance we are looking to sign this or that player, or we are keen to fill this or that position, only time we hear someting is when something's agreed or a player arrives for a medical ... Radz has a clear policy of keeping all transfer business in house until such time as the deal is done ... this way other clubs aren't alerted and our business can be completed without hassle ... this is very professional, and so much better than saying we want so and so and then fcuking it up

when Tommy says he's not looking for a left back or he's happy with his striker options there's two reasons he does this ... first, he doesn't want to sound desperate and force up the transfer fee when Leeds go knocking on doors, and he doesn't want other clubs to potentially go after a Leeds target ... secondly, he wants to keep his current players happy and confident knowing the manager believes in them ... trust me, Tommy will always be looking to strengthen, but he won't be saying so in public ... to brand him stupid because he doesn't admit publicly as to what his transfer plans are is yet again ignorant ... every time Tommy bats back the inevitable transfer question I chuckle, because he's doing it right

Tommy publicly made a huge deal of the fact that he wanted Wood to stay, and that the striker was a big part of his plans even though we knew Burnley had already failed with a bid of £8m ... he did this to help hike up the price, because it allowed Orta to tell Burnley that the new Leeds manager wanted to build his team around Wood, therefore the fee would need to be exceptional to let him go ... Tommy's behaviour was very professional and totally in the interests of Leeds ... long may this dignified, professional approach by Leeds continue

    Radz is God

Just put you on the list there too - need to amend again! LOL

Btw, which part of the country do you hail from? You never know, there could be a regular (or lurker) who's close by & could travel with you. Perhaps not for the Wallies game, but some time in the future. I know that Marcos in in the Cambridge area, & am pretty sure Forza & XBPOD are down there somewhere. Prolly others I should be aware of too, but memory isn't what it used to be. :D
