    Good Morning Everyone

A single goal from Jansson was enough to keep Leeds in the chasing pack for a play off place.

Only a point separates the Whites from the blunts and Villa.

TC is not happy with Leeds fans booing Grot on Saturday

United’s head coach voiced his annoyance at the reaction to Grot’s appearance and defended the teenager, saying: “I think we have a problem (when people) criticise one of our players. We speak about having to stay together so we stay together with the best or the worst, whatever. Always together.

“He’s the same as all the players. All of them are important to me and he will be too.”

“I didn’t speak to him,” Christiansen said, “but also when he does good saves I don’t usually speak to him (about those). It’s the same situation. I have a goalkeeping coach who knows how to handle the goalkeepers. He knows what to say.”

Ekuban will be out until the beginning of February.

The 23 year old has only just returned from injury. Surely TC needs another striker in January!

Taking the mick or booing a 19 year old for being a bit sh*t is just wrong and counter productive. He just gets 5/10 min cameos which isn’t fair to judge him on either. Reality is he isn’t good enough to be playing but we’re bare bones upfront.

On the subject of not good enough... wiedwald. He made one good save Saturday , where he stood strong and blocked from Pritchard. The one from the free kick that people were saying was a good save was a nice height and he punched it up in the air... in the first half he parried another regulation save into the path of a oncoming attacker. Tc is trying to build his confidence but he’snot Up to it.

Scrappy but just about deserved win against a midtable side who can play on their day and just have their best player back.

We need to sort out how to close out a game... chucking defenders on and inviting pressure isn’t it. Keep the ball lads.

Evening from the Lucky Land - Grot should be given some time in the development squad when PML or Ekuban are back 20 - 30 k of people sounding to boo you can't be good for onse self-esteem. I don't think TC has had a choice to have him on the bench but when it's not needed perhaps don't bring him on?

Good Morning to Matt and his little helpers from a frosty Bardsey
    Yes we need a striker
    Yes we need a LB
    Yes we need a goalkeeper
According to doom and gloom we are not going to get them so we wait and see.I think that AR will spend because of the carrot at the end of the stick
No mention of our latest success Cibricki had a really good game and it was his centre that Janson scored from so lets see more of him
We now hopefully will consolidate our top 6 place after the next 4 games

Looking at Hulls results to date .Yes they have improved under Atkins and they only lost 1-0 at Cardiff so it will not be an easy game I expect it to be like Sat with hopefully a 1-0 result again

Morning all. Cibickis delivery of a ball has been a welcome addition. We’ve suffered in that area for several seasons with Pablo seemingly only player prior to this capable of crossing a ball properly. Our season likely to go in one of two directions as I see it. We won’t strengthen properly in January and we will continue to scramble some wins mixed with poor performances or the board will come up with some quality that’ll have us pushing for third or fourth spot. Fans can all see what’s needed even if tc can’t or won’t let on to

    Evening Eric and all

Not sure where this 30k booing comes from. Read it a few times in the last couple of days but it really wasn’t like that. I criticised Grot on here but it is a forum and I would never boo players at the match, no one around us did either and it wasn’t noticeable generally. In fact, there were loads of shouts of things like “go on big lad show us what you can do” etc around us. The problem is, lose all of your header and tackles, keep giving possession away and look out of puff after 5 minutes and the groans will naturally start.

Funny thing is, we have a particularly gobby Bloke behind us who is forever on players backs and he did nothing but shout support for Grot.

Anyone know if Cibicki can play down the middle? Certainly seems to have all the attributes - good player.

Agree on Cibicki, a bit surprised (no idea why). The LUTV commentary did not quite get to the level of "Giles gets another lovely ball out" but I have high hopes we'll get there soon. <ok>

morning all ... Grot is not an out-and-out striker ... he plays wide right for Holland juniors and played on either wing for his club ... he has bags of talent, I've seen him play before he came to Leeds, and I was delighted when we got him as he's still a kid and will only get better ... he seems to try too hard when he comes on, but at least he tries ... like Sacko, raw talent that requires some patience ... if we make some signings in January then it may be worth sending the two youngsters out on loan to get game time and develop more

Wiedwald made a stunning save on Saturday when it looked like Norwich would score for sure, and it's clear his confidence is growing ... it's also clear that the defence seems more cohesive when Felix is behind them, and Cooper has said before that Felix communicates well with his defenders, helping them to get their positioning right ... add to this the fact that we play out better from the back with Felix there, the signs are looking good that he's settling down now and can become an important player for us ... listened to the Radio Leeds pre-game show this morning, interesting to hear a couple of German fans talking about Felix, and saying how good he was in the Bundesliga ... one was a Bayern fan who came over with his Leeds supporting mate who was from Wolfsburg ... they rated Felix and as we know, form is temporary, class is permanent

Tommy was spot on to ask "supporters" to stop the booing and stick together ... I personally don't understand the nastiness, it's almost as if Leeds fans enjoy wallowing in the Championship and don't want the club to succeed ... negativity undermines progress, and it doesn't help anyone at all ... encourage and support, help to make the players believe they are the best and watch how the team grows in confidence ... constant whining about players is destructive

These supporters pay their hard earned cash and want to see players up to the task
We have far too many technically inept players in our first team squad..
Instead of having a go at them TC should be asking Rad and Orta to buy \ provide players that are good enough to wear the shirt....

Afternoon all, booing your own player is not good, in regards to striker I’d start Roofe again but if he was out of sorts I’d put Saiz up front with Alioski, Hernandez and Cibicki behind him.

Someone said the other day Grot needs to be taken out the limelight and loaned out, I totally agree. He could still have a major part to play for us in 2 seasons time let’s not right him off yet.

Lasogga looked off the pace and not particularly fit before his injury/illness/absence so I can’t see him being the answer. A great win on Saturday against a team that will finish higher than their current position.

Agree 100% with Billy and although I have criticized Grot I wouldn't do it at ER, its like slagging off a family member.

Players at ER who have played up top. Alioski, Saiz, Cibicki, Grot plus Roofe. Tommy said Grot is a player he likes who will be a big player for the club. We also have the young kid Clarke as well as a Macedonian kid and a Portuguese training with the first team. So is Tommy keeping his powder dry about a new striker or is he going to promote a kid
