Morning all... Marc Pugh if we are interested I guess it will be to replace Doukara/Dallas on the left, can't see it myself but who knows. The guy looking to buy into us; I will reserve judgement on that, who knows if he will be another Cellino, GFH or Bates I'm somewhere near the top of the tree in disliking Cellino but if this was his first ever season in charge of us we would all think he was the greatest owner in the world. Can't knock anything he has done in the last 6 months.
Morning ristac, apparently we are on a stable footing, and like you cannot argue with anything Cellino has done in the last six months. That Guardian football expose has gone very quiet. All smoke and mirrors perhaps
I did think about that before writing 6 months but all he did was offer a backer a chance to invest in the club for a chance to make money on profit from player sales.
Morning all. Sad to read last night of the passing of Andrew Sachs (Manuel), a comic genius. What a terrible year 2016 was for losing legends. IF and its a big IF, there is a takeover, hopefully its painless and doesnt affect on field business in any way. A blind man can see whats needed in January, contracts for Pontus and Monk, Taylor would be a bonus. Were probably closer to a return to the PL than at any time since relegation, possible exception losing to Watford, and may not get as good a chance for a few more years. I see this season as a watershed and the year it has to happen if were to keep developing this squad rather than losing half of them. How good would it be to be able to have all the current lot available for pre season and add three or four quality players to the mix

Morning all, not going to comment on Andrea Raddrizani except to say I hope he does it. Cellino has been awesome this Summer to date, so as long as he carries on in this vein until he goes or for ever is fine by me. Worry about O'Kane because the last time we had a player who went off a couple of times with the same problem was Sam Byram. I'll just leave that there. Bournemouth could be pot of gold for us, because it looks like we have a good relationship with them. If the Pugh deal can be done it will be great because the kid was great and a big part in them getting promoted. O'Kane is close to it, Gradel is involved and so too is Cook. Maybe a deal on Pugh with loan moves for Max or Cook. Cook needs game time because he hasnt figured since superstar landed. Just throwing that out there. DOL; an enigma, where did it go wrong. Yeah we know where it ended and why but the beginning was world class and similarities with Monk. DOL was a coach for George Graham and he spent a lot of time with a group of academy kids, being heavily involved. He took over from george because Martin Irishbloke turned us down. DOL had no money to start with so started using some kids and he surprised Ridsdale and the fans. He was then given a good ammount of cash and brought in some quality players who gelled with the kids and results were awesome. DOL played the media game well being unassuming and praised his kids. Ridsdale then got greedy and allowed DOL to buy 'gold players' as he termed them but by doing that he took his eye off the ball in the dressing room. He brought in Brian Kidd to do the job with the kids he had done himself. He was now in suits instead of track suits. Kidd was always devisive and we saw the camp splitting because DOL was now god and forgot what got him recognition. We know how it ended and why but remember he was doing a great job at Villa and saved them but then went back to being god and lost it.
Morning all. Ristac, agree with you about Cellino over the past six months but can't help feeling his behaviour has been because of the takeover and the NDA (or whatever it's called) that's been put in place.
Martin O'Neill actually agreed to join us, but when the crisp munchers fans tugged at his heart strings begging for him to stay, he changed his mind. Morning Doc btw.
Afternoon all, talk on waccoe from a respectable ITKer that the deal was done yesterday and an announcement regarding the investment/takeover is due very soon. Rad has big plans for us apparantly. Here's hoping. Oh and the only reason Cellino has been awsome is because he is under an NDA and cant do or say fa.
But some of us are still not believing... Even if true the piss poor way this has been leaked out is not a sign of how to run a take over/ buy out. As others have said--- please let it be true.... They might sack Monk and bring their own man in... Matt the cash is not in the post just yet!!!

Afternoon all. On Pugh, I think we have enough decent wingers already. So not sure we need Pugh. On Manuel, very sad, but at 80something at least he had a good innings. On takeovers, I'll believe it if/when I see it. Quite happy the club is proceeding this season. So not bothered about any takeover at the moment. On O'Leary, he almost ruined the club with his "living the dream" sh1t. Were it not for cuddly Ken and his stabilising the club, who knows how much further we could have sunk?,
