I would play 5/3/2 and drop the likes of Rooney, Cahill, Dier and Henderson. Dier will be good, but should not be learning his England trade at the expense of games. I would only bring Sterling on as a second half sub.
So who takes over from Rooney, Cahill and Dier? I disagree about Henderson he would be starting for me.
Never been to Cork city, West Cork is rural and rugged, small towns and villages. You can go up and drive round the Ring of Kerry and back in a day if you're after a bit more scenery. Likely to be chucking it down this time of year though.
Elland more or less highlighted the attractions. Small city too so not hard finding your way around. One word of warning though, you won't know a word. The natives are saying to you. They speak at about a hundred words a minute. Best bring a notepad and scribble notes to communicate. Don't bring any of that sterling crap, we don't want it anymore
Agree with every word of that. Only thing I can add is that's why I've lost interest in international football. Roll on next weekend.
Eire, I spent 4yrs in Khartoum in the 80s... a place full of Dubliners and Corkies. Shouldn't take me too long to re-tune. Only problem I had was with a girl from Kerry. Couldn't understand a word.
Doc your talking total rubbish, the jocks run around like headless chickens kicking anything that moved.Leicester won the league last season, with very low possession and chances, the reason they won games was they had quality up front in Vardy and Mahres .And that was the difference last night as well,Scotland have no quality,a very average Snodgrass is there best player says it all.You call it bad luck but they have been missing open goals for 30 years, its not bad luck its being crap.
That just makes our performance worse, the fact a very poor Scotland with a very average snodgrass as their best player could create so many chances speaks volumes. For the record, for me Southgate should be no where near the England managers job. Done absolutely **** all to merit it. Ask Middlesbrough.
At club level, maybe. But he managed the under 21s for a while, & they weren't too shabby, even more so given that some of his better unders got nicked for the full England team
Chesh on the subject of Liecester: What are the odds that in one season Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man Utd would all be shyte at the same time. Never happened before and will never happen again. 'Perfect Storm' saw Spurs and Leicester be the next best teams and the foxes triumphed. Fair play to them because in a season when the favorites were missing they won. Foxes have a better team this season but look where they are and thats because the top 5 clubs have picked their game up
