Good Morning Everyone, Charlie Taylor has been voted player of the year for Leeds Utd. Berardi was in second place. Cook and Dallas were fighting it out for 3rd. Thoughts? Ex Assistant Manager Nigel Gibbs has won his claim for constructive dismissal at an employment tribunal yesterday. Gibbs was awarded just over £330,000 please log in to view this image
Morning Elland and all. Interesting that despite losing all these invaluable staff, we've improved. Makes you wonder what they were doing in the first place. I see Aston Villa are shedding 100 permanent staff after relegation, the price of dropping out of the money for everyone PL. personally believe there are far too many hangers on at a lot of clubs, stick on a tracksuit, carry around a clipboard and call yourself an assistant goalkeeping coach or something and earn multiples of what most of us earn a week. ( excluding Glory and Matt of course )
Morning all and as a follow up to Eires point, this happened a few weeks ago. I was staying in a hotel in Manchester and half of the bar and meeting areas were roped off(2pm). It turns out Liverpool were staying for the afternoon prior to playing Man U that evening. All players got a room, and had a meal but there must have been twice as many staff is suits club blazers and ties as there were players. Couldn't believe how many staff and the cost of taking over the hotel must have been enormous. Manchester is hundreds of miles away from Liverpool???? Like staying in a hotel before playing Everton. Talk about pampered PL players 2 matches more for us and the circus merry go round starts again. Fatty Evans will be nowhere near the Celtic job and can't see him getting a bigger gig than the one he has now. I'm guessing he'll be gone but would prefer him to get a full season and pre season and playing staff sorted, rather than bringing someone else in who will **** it up short term and allow better players to leave and some who should have gone stay
Morning Eire, I'm amazed by Gibbs wages. Wasn't it something like £220,000 a year? Far to much, especially for the Championship.
Morning Doc, Blimey, you must stay at some swanky hotels (not going to ask what you were doing there )
Maybe it was Cellino's way of cutting the wage bill, at a small cost. I wonder how much the solicitor will take.
Morning ell, And McDonut £800,000 a year So over £1M a year between them for the worst football I've seen Leeds play - at least Hockaday was only on £80,000 a year so same results for £1M less
Morning Essex, Amazed McDermott didn't take us to Court. He was treated really badly. Shame things didn't work out for him
Half day today right enough But I am taking the boys indoor sky diving, so no beers yet http://www.airkix.com/?gclid=CNP3-_a_s8wCFdMV0wodeq0NIg
Its interesting that most of our worst financial decisions were made by GFH. They were responsible for those two and were also responsible for giving a contract to Byram that could never be realistically improved on when he looked for a renewal. No wiggle room remained. Werent they also responsible for giving the carthorse Morisson 20k a week. Clueless bankers that have cost the club millions and are still costing us big time
Blimey. How Bizzarre. One of my colleagues was asking me if I knew where he could go indoor sky diving!!! How much is it (if you don't mind me asking?
