Found this on the t'internet. My first game. Went with a lad from school (QPR). Was the season we got relegated. Some great names on both sides listed below. Can remember Leeds fans singing Pinocchio at Ray Clemence!

Spurs made hard work of seeing off a determined Leeds side, but won out with a second half goal from Garth Crooks.

Ray Clemence kept Frank Gray's 41st minute free kick out with a good save, while Hoddle made openings for Crooks, Galvin, Falco and Villa, but they were all spurned and it was only when Micky Hazard was introduced as a second half substitute that Spurs perked up. The Geordie midfielder took a ball from Villa and crossed from the left to the head of Tony Galvin, who set it up for Crooks to swivel and hit a left foot shot past Leeds keeper Lukic, despite him getting a
    touch on it.

    Teams :
Spurs - Clemence, Hughton, Miller, Roberts, Villa, Perryman, Ardiles, Galvin, Falco (Hazard), Hoddle, Crooks
Leeds - Lukic, Cherry, F. Gray, Stevenson (Flynn), Hart, Burns, E. Gray, Graham, Butterworth, Hamsom, Hird

I think Arsenal are favourites at moment since one of their players will be out for a while, watch this space though as the media have a habit of changing things around.

I fail to see all the fuss about Byram, he hasn't progressed since his first good year. He is easily replaced.
Byram and Arsenal in the same sentence :emoticon-0136-giggl fook me

I can see him fitting in at Southampton to be honest. I wish him well. Not good enough on the right side of midfield IMO, Buckley will be better and we got the new guy who could turn out to be a winner as well, and I wouldn’t say he is our no 1 Right back either. Plus the contract saga which has been handled poorly, I'd wish him well if he left. Of course I would prefer it if he stayed and we had two decent RBs battling it out for the one spot but Cellino has made his mind up IMO by publicly slating young Sam. Totally unprofessional and out of order.

Born in 1980 and I'll be honest didn't get into football till I was ten. My Nan was from Leeds and moved to my small Lincolnshire village during the war. She stayed here after marrying my Grandad.
My mum was an only child and on visits to family up north she would always be taken to Elland rd.
As soon as I showed an interest that was it, Leeds or nothing. My earliest memories are of Sgt Wikos early to mid nineties teams with Gary Speed being my first hero.
There were not many Leeds fans around here at the time and I think that had helped with my "everyone hates us but we don't care" attitude.
Now this is area full of Leeds fans with one pub being a Leeds stronghold up until recently. It even hosted a Spanish night when the scum played Barcelona at Wembley with free sangria for anyone in a Barcelona shirt.

Exactly my sentiments too. Hell end up in a bottom half pl team at best in my opinion. Anyway, when did Arsenal even say they were interested?

Could be my age but memory highlights:

    1. First time I got the bug Leeds in Div 2 Revie new manager YEP headline reads Leeds BURYem 6-0 I was hooked
    2. Eddie Gray against Burnley I think when he danced around 7 players and slotted home. Live on TV and much watched piece of football class on YouTube.
    3. Leeds against Southampton when we took the piss and the crowd shouting OLe as we flicked and tricked one touch football past a good opposition. It was total football at its best.
    4. First match a young Terry Connor played for us as he was just about still at Foxwood school. Comes on and scores right in front of the Kop. Brilliant
    5. Duncan McKenzie signs.
    6. Lorimer breaks Chelsea keepers fingers.
    7. Tony Curry making football look easy
    8. Big Frank playing whist sober with a *** on
    9. Little Frank coming through the ranks
