Wigan have just cashed in on Callum McManaman, who signed for West Bromwich Albion today, as reported by the BBC, and they could invest £1.5 million of the funds raised from the winger's sale on Austin and Pearce.
Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn has admitted to the Yorkshire Evening Post he does more work with the back four at the moment. The boss has explained the positive impact Steve Thompson has had as his assistant, which allows him to focus on working more closely with the Leeds United defence. “The main difference with having Thommo here is the extra work it allows us to do,” said Redfearn. “Before, I was basically looking after the entire group. It was very difficult to split the players up and focus on the areas we needed to improve.” “We’re in a position now where he (Thompson) can look at the front end of the team and concentrate on their movement while I take the back four for a proper session.”
Hey guys, probably already been said, not gone through the thread yet, but no way in the world you would allow those costs to go on,if you weren't getting something out of it. But also there is no way all the costs are admin costs. Salaries wouldn't usually get classed as admin costs. But the reason the costs are so high is because of loans into the club by evil parents that want a quick buck
Hey all ... Redders has stumbled on a formula by accident ... he fielded a "weakened" team against Sunderland, they stepped up and performed and suddenly he had an eleven he could rely on ... all this bull about "the lads have been working hard" and "they were never out of my plans" makes me laugh ... however, at least he has kept going with the 90-minute boys Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
FFS times have changed. It used to be about drinking, fighting and watching the team, now it's all about discussing, over analyzing...blah blah blah bollox
If you'd like I could add that its a nice 33 degrees in aus, sadly there are a couple clouds in the sky though
You'd be disappointed if you were a wigan fan reinvesting money gained from selling an exciting young winger on Pearce and Austin
I agree, hate this constant analysis of the club's finances. I doubt that anyone here has much of a clue about finances in football clubs anyway so it seems pointless to me. But in all honesty, I find the conspiracy theories more annoyuing
On a totally unrelated matter. Chippy / glory the poster of things totally obvious to everyone says: North and West Yorkshire are likely to receive a 2" - 5" covering of snow this morning. Never eat eat yellow snow.
