Redders has told the YEP that he has started to see improvements in team performance from the FA Cup game at Sunderland onwards :-

“That result’s been coming for a few weeks. We’ve been improving bit by bit and we’ve been getting better. If you look at the games since the turn of the year, we’ve been a competitive side,” said the boss.

“Bournemouth was outstanding and to beat a team like that is no mean feat. But we ran Bolton close at their place and we were unlucky not to beat Birmingham at home.”

“You’re talking about three form teams there and it wouldn’t have been an injustice if we’d come out of those games with nine points.”

The challenge for Redfearn is how he gets the team prepared for a very different game against Huddersfield this weekend.

Footballer Simon Lenighan has told the Crown Court that the court case cost him a Leeds Utd contract. Lenighan, 20, is charged with rape. He currently plays for Harrogate Town.

Should a player be judged before the outcome of a trial?

What do you think would have happened if Cellino did not rescue us?

How can our admin costs be so high?

    How do smaller clubs manage?

Elland we made a profit after player sales for those years, and that means the club was always leaking cash offshore, so a bit misleading. Admin costs are all the so called invoices for consultancy work. These consultants were actually from other parts of the Leeds Utd group and invoiced from Monaco, Belize and the Caymen Islands. Leeds Utd football club pay these invoices and the cash just vanishes. A well known Bates trait/scam which Haigh and GFH carried on, as the auditers see no problem as there's an invoice.. These accounts have nothing to do with Cellino

    Edit.
Those figures are so simplistic as to be meaningless.
Even the date is misleading and given thet dont reference finacial years 12/13. 13/14 etc I would question their accuracy and their authenticity.

    The sneaky f****rs

    Surely illegal?

I know Cellino had nothing to do with it, but fair play to him taking us on, after looking at our accounts!

Just noticed some points from yesterdays breakfast debate regarding my comments about our new loanees. Firstly the Scots Prem isn't as good as the Championship for in depth quality, so Bamba playing for a couple of those clubs means he was at L1 level when there. I do hope they can make a difference but when they have no game time the only thing they have in their favour is that they can't be tired. These signings will mean some decent players will have to make way and means some others will be out of the squad until next summer maybe. Redders has just about got the team playing a little better, so will these newbies have an adverse effect.

Another point was about Hunt etc who start to shine when they've gone. This can only be down to the way we coach, train and use tactics, because we see it every time and they usually come back to haunt us. We always seem to have problems with central defenders who are great when away, so maybe we need a new defensive coach, which many of us have asked for for a few seasons now, even going back to Grayson

Cellino's problem was that he didn't do any Due Dilligence as the deal was done fast. I bet he regrets it now, because he had to go to war with GFH and Haigh

Good morning from a wet Cote de Bardsey to Matt and co
I dont know how Hunt could improve so much whenever I have seen him play he is full of enthusiasm but does not inspire me as a skillful attacker
Bamba I will be amazed if he doesnt do well and would not be surprised if he doesnt score on Saturday Granddi I havent seen him play but looks a strong lad
The accounts well why didnt the FL query the vast amount of money going abroad destined for Monaco but did he have too much on them?I ask myself!

I think you know the answer to that Mike. Harvey was party to everything that went on as he was CEO. He then gets the top job at the FL where he insists on fitting the club up again via MC's court case. There are many dodgy barstewards that run clubs and rip the fans off, yet MC gets done for only putting cash in, paying the bills, keeping the finances fluid. Harvey isn't fit or proper to run the FL after all he's been called a liar by judges and politicians, even under oath.

Many congratulations to young goalkeeper Will Huffer, who has been called up to the England Under-17s squad for February’s Algarve Tournament.

The 16-year-old will travel to Portugal as part of a 22-man Young Lions squad for the annual friendly competition.

John Peacock’s side begin with a tie against the Netherlands on February 13 before taking on the hosts Portugal two days later. They will then face Germany on February 17 at the Algarve Stadium.

Huffer, who made his England U17s debut in last summer’s Nordic Tournament, will be competing with Newcastle United’s Paul Woolston for the number one shirt.

An Italian executive, who worked with Massimo Cellino when he owned Serie A side Cagliari, has been appointed as a Leeds United director in the latest change to the club's boardroom make-up.

Documentation relating to the appointment of Giampaolo Caboni, 61, was filed with Companies House at the same time as a director termination notice for Cellino, who is temporarily stepping down as president in accordance with his Football League ban.

Earlier this month (January), financier Andrew Umbers was appointed to the Championship club's board. The Yorkshireman has now been named as chairman and will steer the club during Cellino's enforced absence.

Cellino's sons, Edoardo and Ercole, and Eleanora Sport director Daniel Arty also represent the Leeds' owner in the boardroom, while GFH Capital's Jinesh and Salem Patel act for the Dubai-based private equity house which still controls a 25 per cent stake in Leeds United.

So SPL teams are L1 level, are they? I can only assume this is your personal opinion, but would like to ask you what factors you took into consideration to come to that conclusion. I suspect that you don't know a great deal about Scottish football, and guesswork is the basis of your opinion.

I quite agree. They're completely made up. I'd like to know who made them up & for what reason. The most laughable item was the zero interest for 2011. Did the author of this really expect us to believe this tosh?

    Thanks Jock

You've just pointed out what really pisses me off about some English Football fans. It's not English so it's ****. I wouldn't say the SPL are L1 standard, it's higher. The other one people seem to dismiss is the MLS and for no good reason. It's **** league one standard. Erm no? There are some good players in America right about now and they are other good player going over all the time

    Good morning all

    After my rant...

Them figures sadly mean nothing to me, not a finance sort of person so it goes over my head.

On Leighton, I said it when this first came up...silly, silly boy he should not have filmed it on his Phone. Well he shouldn't have done it in the first place.

Well done to Huffer for being picked up for the under 17 tournament. I right want to go to the Algarve now. As it's meant to snow tomoz here in W. Yorkshire a nice warmer climate would be rather nice
