All the poor fecker needs is a white flag.... As close to saying it is too much for me... Cellino has wrecked him. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....s-a-tough-gig-managing-leeds-united-1-7053933
As ever most people want instant results and expect teams to deliver from day one. From what I have seen this year, we are a better team. We have some great talent and we what we are lacking at the moment is Self belief and Confidence. We have shown glimpses in most matches, we all know this league is about the best team work rather than the bet individuals. Jumping on players/managers backs and wanting change will never get you out of the league (apart from relegation). Cellino is Italian and passionate heart on his sleeve. I think he is a 1000 times better than GFH/Bates and once he has stabilized the finances (still more debt coming out of the woodwork) then how can he pump the majority of the cash into the stadium especially with the potential barring from running the club looms over his head. There are things I would change about the owner of course, I think he trys to have too much of a say in the running of the team and players he recruits but nothing more than Ambramovich and probably Glazers/Man city owners too. He is just not able to afford the Drogba's of the world. I would be careful in wishing him gone as at least he knows the football world and we may end up sliding down the leagues faster than you expect with whoever comes in. He was very clear that this year was still transitional and when we have a few large earners Hunt, Murphy, Warnock who have not set our team alight then he cannot invest. He has bought in a lot of potential and with that comes risk but if and when we go up we could have a great nucleus. Hold tight people, Leeds is a bumpy ride but when we come good and I believe we will do with this philosophy being at the ground for the return to the premiership with around 40,000 like minded fans will be seriously good. Keep the faith, I for one want Cellino to stay. (unless anyone hear has a spare £30-£50m).
Afternoon Simon et al, Welcome to the forum. Good post & I agree with every word. If you've been visiting here as a guest, you'll no doubt be aware that there's a honeymoon period, then the Men in Black decide to go for you. That's when the real fun begins! Are you going to post a wee intro in the newbies' thread?
Simon good post mate, but yes we have talent but our coach isn't experienced enough to do it justice. I hope he can turn it around and give the boys a lift and save his job, but if we go bottom 3 he's out.
Welcome Simon to not606. Your comment: I would be careful in wishing him gone as at least he knows the football world and we may end up sliding down the leagues faster than you expect with whoever comes in. Unfortunately that appears to be what we are doing at the moment..... but if you are correct about him knowing the football world its about time he showed it. If it turns out he is barred it might be for a very good reason. But as ever, we all keep the faith, (hope and charity anyone !)
Morning all ... Hockaday stood up to Cellino, NOT, what a lot of rubbish from Warnock, glad he's gone ... Redders drinking in the last chance saloon, where do we go after sending him back to Academy ... Cellino still has mountains of problems coming his way, especially when the next guilty verdict from Italy arrives ... ah well, a win on Saturday and all looks fabulous again .. welcome Simon, stay positive
The thing is, someone wants him now, he was a mistake for us, one that can be rectified if Ipswich take him. Keep him another 6 months doing noting and we could be stuck with him.
