Twitter is already ablaze, as to be expected. Phil Hay is claiming that the fraud conviction is spent in March (though if the ban has already been passed, I would imagine it's not as straight forward as trying to fob them off until then )
18th March the conviction is spent according to the FL and the Telegraph, so what a waste of space but probably makes Harvey feel better. Cellino will just sign over his stake to his lawyer and kids, and gets them back in March - sorted. So nothing to worry about but expect to see Harvey have some mud thrown at him from somewhere that embarases him and sees calls for his resignation. Remember Bates and Harvey had meetings with Cellino a few weeks ago, so Cellino will have something on tape I hope where Harvey asks for some cash
If it really is as straightforwards as that (and everything I've read seems to suggest it is too), then I wonder if the FL are rifling through the rule books with -15 on their minds...
Leeds United have issued a response to the ruling against owner Massimo Cellino Leeds United have issued a response to the ruling against owner Massimo Cellino: "We have today received a notice from the Football League disqualifying Mr Cellino from being a director of Leeds United Football Club until 18 March 2015. "The club is in the process of taking legal advice on the reasoning of the decision. In the interim, the club notes that nothing has changed since the decision of the Football League’s Professional Conduct Committee in April 2014. "The steps that the League wishes the club to take – to remove Mr Cellino only to re-appoint him in three months’ time - will be destabilising for the club, its supporters and sponsors and cannot be in the best interests of any party." Cellino stands aside by the end of December as he's been asked to do. His lawyer takes over for 78 days, what a joke, and then he gets the club signed back over to him ....... just a paper exercise as he'll still be in charge over the 78 days from his Maimi home. As usual we fans see some progress and then the FL reel us back in again
You know that light at the end of the tunnel you spoke of. It wasn't daylight, it was a train coming down the line.
