I should probably have posted that in the newbie thread, huh? :)

By the way, I don't want to exclude the Wall fans on here. The healthy banter, the good-natured disrespect - you help to make this place what it is.

Leeds fans, Wall fans, and any other fans that come here - thanks. <ok>

Great to hear from you pal <ok>

Yeah, weirdly enough the Leeds and Wall fans get on really well (from this board), have meet ups etc.

    How did you find us?

From the F1 thread, which I found from the BBC Sports website.

    Great.

Are there many Leeds fans in New Zealand?

Morning mate. Posting anything sensible would likely be a complete waste of time and it would probably get lost. Nobody else ever does it so no need for you to feel you should

Football is all about opinion, hearing about past memories of when legends of the past used to visit your school is great to hear, especially for our younger followers.

I've seen a couple of Leeds shirts at various sporting events, but generally no. Even at the club I play for I'm the only Leeds fan, and we probably have 10 senior teams, 15 junior teams and 3 ladies teams.

From people I know, I'd say the main support is for Liverpool, Spurs, West Ham and Arsenal.

Club structures are a bit different over here. :)

I'm with one of the bigger clubs in the city, but it's still just social, and it's not the biggest. Wellington is a city of about 400,000 and I think it has about 12 men's divisions, 5 masters divisions (over 35's), 4 ladies divisions and I've no idea how many for the kids.

The ladies play on Sundays and there are a few evening games, but there's a lot of football being played on Saturdays!

Thanks. It does have some amazing scenery, especially the south island. And the north island has its moments. When the snow finally arrives I'll be going snowboarding on Ruapehu, a volcano in the middle of the north island.

Time difference - right now, we're 11 hours ahead of the UK. When our spring arrives (UK autumn) our clocks will go forward while yours go back, so we'll be 13 hours ahead. Basically if you assume a 12 hour time difference, you'll only ever be an hour out, either way.

Welcome, Mr B. Hope you enjoy your time with us. No doubt you'll fall out with a few of us at times, but hey!, that's what happens with families! Good times ahead.

Btw, our forum runs a match day thread, and generally someone will post a link to watch Leeds games online (if they're being shown anywhere in the world on telly). Not entirely legal, but nevertheless welcome if you can't get to the match. One of our posters, Josh, is in Oz, so he'll be able to fill you in on telly matches shown Down Under (perhaps I'm a bit naive here - do you get the same sports programs?).

With the exception of our erstwhile mod of course.
The board has now sunk to a new low with a plastic Aussie signed up. ;)

    Welcome Mr B.

Almost agree with you. I like a bit of blue with the yellow.
