My point being that just because McDermott's signings aren't performing now its not a reason to get rid of him when he's doing a good job under difficult circumstances. Sacking him and bringing someone else in, no matter how much people wish it on here, isn't going to get us anywhere faster. In fact statistics say that about 90% of clubs who sack a manager mid season don't achieve what they were hoping for when they sacked the manager. That is, they don't gain promotion when it was looking bleak, or they don't avoid relegation. It's a pointless exercise that never works. Sacking managers should only ever happen if the manager isn't fulfilling the long term goal.
