Probably why they are only making "inquiries"

He still needs to prove it to the powers that be - they need to be satisfied that his money isn't from criminal activities!

Yes and nobody said it would stop Cellino taking over as far as I know <ok>

Hmmm, making inquiries into a future trial in Italy and need to be satisfied his money was not gained illegally.

Is this the Football League we're talking about or Interpol ?

This is absolutely scandalous, if true. None of these inquiries have anything to do with the FL, and most certainly have nothing to do with the Cellino investigation. If an investigation into GFH is required, then it should be a completely independant inquiry. Indeed, if you think of it, Cellino might be the answer to the 'GFH Inquiry' problems!

If true, I sincerely hope Cellino takes legal action against the FL - after his approval, of course.

Maybe the past shenanigans of Leeds Utd have a lot to do with it - The Footballing authorities were probably extremely embarrassed at how Leeds overachieved for so long at the tax payers expense <ok>

Well they should be extremely embarrassed. How the hell they allowed GFH to pass the fit and proper test is beyond me. No long winded inquiry for them, they sailed through. Cellino's got the cash upfront, his convictions are spent, he's innocent until proven guilty with regards the embezzlement charge...and he's already keeping the club afloat by paying the wages.
Something's not right about all this, this delay in ratifying the takeover makes no sense whatsoever.

Still got nothing to do with Cellino, though, has it?

I also question whether they have the right to make such demands.

For as long as I've been a Leeds United supporter, the FA have always had an agenda with us. If it wasn't Sir Don and the team winding them up, it was the fans acting the bollocks up and down the country. :headbang:

All the FL wants is for Cellino to show he has put the necessary funds into Eleonora to buy out GFH, settle the debts and buy back ER ... he has the money so should be given the ok once the millions hit the necessary bank accounts ... the rumours are just a waste of time ... soon we will have a new owner who will be intent on getting Leeds to the Prem, with the added bonus that he didn't have to pay £100m so he now has additional funds available to sink into the squad ... oh happy days ... afternoon all

We all hope it is that simple. Hard to know what is really going on. One would think if the FL is clear about what it requires, should not be a problem for MC (let's drop the "Eytie" bit chaps, let's be nice, what do you say?) to provide it.

I know why not Este, but do you know what Paki means? Translated into Urdu, it means pure, as in Pakistani - land of the pure

Perhaps it's time for us to be more PC compliant. Should I change Whitejock to CocasianScotsman? Has a certain ring to it ....
