Morning Everyone, Cellino met with football chiefs yesterday in London. And now things have gone very quiet. Last week he was talking about going to see the football league on Wednesday, and then buying back Elland Road on Thursday? Hmmmmm, can anyone see that happening today? Leeds now have just over a week to recharge their batteries. The Charlton game has been moved due to their Cup run.....
Morning all. General consensus now seems to be a five day wait for fl clearance. Add that to a nine day break in football, looks like being a quiet week ahead for Leeds fans
I'll delay replying then Ristac. By the way, I note that Hadrian failed to build his wall high enough to keep the sweatties out. Maybe all this rain will save the hassle of having a vote. They'll just be set adrift as an island with no currency & can use chippings from old English crossbars for currency.
Sorry if this is discussed in other threads, but do you know who exactly he would buying the ground from?
As the rent was usually described as "high" and the previous chairman never grumbled and wouldn't reveal the owners when pushed by the council at the cost of possible funding, the suspicion was it was Bates that owned it. Is that no longer the suspicion?
FOOTBALL LEAGUE NEWS & RESULTS | [FOOTBALL] DIRECT NEWS Leeds consider shock swoop please log in to view this image MK Dons midfielder Alan Smith (Reuters) Exclusive by Richard Flynn 13th February 2014 6:30am GMT Leeds United are weighing up a controversial return for their ex-player Alan Smith, Football Direct Newsunderstands. The former England international was an idol in the eyes of supporters but the fans turned on him when he left Elland Road for bitter rivals Manchester United in 2004.
Shere would a 30+ Smith fit into our current tam & who would he replace? Nevermind the history issues some on here would have, what would he bring that is markedly better than we've already got?
If true there will be a few more fans losing patience with McD - I honestly haven't a problem in that he left us for Man U I agree with Boggers, he is no better than anything we already have in an over crowded department and chunky slice of the wage bill.
He used to play up front for us. He wouldn#t get into our midfield, but could he be a good foil for Ross?
Oh FFS !!!!! You know what, I hope we do sign him and leave him in the reserves JUST so we can finally avoid all the feckin' rumours about him coming back, it's getting beyond tedious.
If a fat, unfit, never trains, 33 year old Diouf can get a run out a couple of games back, why not Smith? Could not possibly be worse
