    Morning Peeps,

    How are we?

Luke Varney has spoken about his relief at joining fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers.

"Once it was made aware that I might not get a contract next year at Leeds, they stopped playing me and I understood I would have to move on," said the former Charlton and Blackpool man.
"I can put all that behind me now and use that negative - it's not anger - but there's a lot inside that I need to get out and I'm hoping to do that on the pitch for Blackburn."

We have to say Varney, nobody is more relieved then us!!!

Mike Farnan, and posse plan to try and scupper the Cellino deal by submitting their offer direct to the Football League. Not sure what good that's going to do, but should be entertaining!!!

Good morning from a damp BardseyI wish Farnum had made all these noises before Cellini came on the scene it strikes me that Cellini by helping the club stay out of administration is the one putting his money where is mouth is his only mistake was the way he handled BM

True but look at it another way... He probably heard that GFH were trying or going to sack BM at half time during the Sheff Wed match, he sees no win in 8 and assumed everyone would be okay with it.

Morning all. Just wondering if Farnan was successful in scuppering Cellinos deal, god forbid, would the snake Haigh then take off his Italian hat once again and put on his Farnan one. Maybe he'd just wear the one that has all the backers colors on it. Players wages due at end of Feb, wonder who'll be paying them this time, Cellini, farnan, flowers, bates? One thing for absolute sure, it won't be gfh

    Morning all

I didn't the FA owned the club. Farnan an idiot.

As for Varney, shut up. We never wanted you at the club in the first place. He should be thanking us for getting him when we di or he'd be playing league 1 football

Morning all. On Varney, I think he/we missed a trick. I don't think he ever really got to play when we finally got BMD's preferred formation of 442 with genuine wingers. That said, we'll move on & when we play Blackburn, Varney will barely get a menion.

On Farnan, phark knows what he's up to, but I wish we could just move on. The only non-reflective in the woodile surrounds BMD's relationship with Cellino. Will Cellino try to bring Festa into the Management structure? If so, will BMD walk? I hope the answers are no and no. The team are moving forward & I wouldn't want anything to disrupt our progress.

Morning all, with GFH having to borrow money off Bates, Cellino etc to pay wages, it's bewildering why Haigh put £1M of his own money towards Leeds United Ladies. Especially when local suppliers haven't been paid, and with a half finished astro pitch due to lack of funds.

    Just doesn't make any sense

    Good morning all

Expect Cellino had reports of the booing and worse at Rochdale, as well, so thought the fans would applaud

Don't know about anyone else but looking forward to this week, game plus big C getting approved (I assume) then buying ER as promised by end of week :). (If he does that he will be a superhero)

Morning ... Farnan is wasting his time, FL can't order GFH to accept his bid ... if Farnan bought Leeds Haigh would be out as he turned down joining Farnan to form a super consortium and backed Cellino instead ... Varney never got to grips with the pressure of playing for Leeds, he is a small club player ... Haigh investing in Leeds Ladies is a good thing, we want to be recognised as being a big club and attract support, well the women's game has progressed rapidly and this is a fan base that we have to embrace ... couldn't believe it when Bates cut the Ladies loose ... look at Arsenal Ladies, very well run and superbly supported by the club, growing fan base and successful, though now being challenged by Bristol Academy ... well done to Haigh for financing this section of the club himself, will hopefully help establish our identity in women's football and make our Ladies team successful ... very good for the long term growth of our club

The way were heading, we might all have to satisfy ourselves shortly with supporting the Leeds ladies, mightn't be much else left if the damn FL messes up takeover on us <whistle>

Bit of an arsehole that Luke Varney will never forget the way he treated us after Sheff Wednesday,

Similar to Paddy Kenny telling Kop to **** off will never let that one go.

    Morning all,

Varney - may he drown in Venky's curry sauce. Robbed us for ages. He even got me polishing my boots, thinking 'if he can play for Leeds, so can I. I wasn't good enough 40 years ago when it counted, and I'm far worse now. That's how good I think he is. Couldn't have found a better employer IMHO.

£1m for Leeds Ladies - quite agree with LiE. Put another way - that's £1m that could have gone into the club instead of going cap in hand to Bates for the same sum. Can only think he's setting up a knocking shop for Middle Eastern visitors. Can't think of any real reason.

Farnam - let's club together to get him some education - contract law 101. This is only a tactic to put pressure on Cellino's 'fit & proper' test. Nothing else. GFH have no obligation to listen to him or the FL re. contract negotiations.

Cellino - I'm actually quite pleased that he reinstated BM. Proved in one stroke that at least he'll listen & take action. Not many (aspiring) chairmen admit they're wrong (I mean even Ridsdale will tell you he's never done any wrong if you're foolish enough to give him the time of tday.

Billy having a strong ladies team doesn't make us a big club, Doncaster Belles proves that. In fact putting money towards this venture instead of paying local suppliers and having an astro pitch which we can't afford to finish makes us a laughing stock. People aren't going to say well Leeds United are a big club, they can't pay their way but at least they've got a successful ladies team.

Will be interesting anyway Jock to see how much of the 1 million has or ever will be put into Leeds ladies. Just like paying a million for Murphy when Cellino is actually having to pay off the fee. Amazing anyone can believe anything Haigh says after the last twelve months <doh>

LiE, I have been fortunate enough over a number of years to get into Arsenal training and watch Wenger at work, then have lunch with the professor and his squad ... have spoken with people like Ken Friar, Bob Wilson, Lee Dixon, Martin Keown, Ian Wright and Wenger and have asked all what it is that makes Arsenal a great club ... always the same answers, they are very close to their fans, the club works on the principles of honesty and respect, they try and build from within, they avoid bankrupting the club for the sake of simply buying players, they work hard in the community, and ... yes, you guessed it, they embrace women's football and recognise the importance of attracting female supporters into the club ... they decided to do it properly, and did their best to make Arsenal Ladies the most successful brand in women's football ... they believe it was the right thing to do, and they celebrate the Ladies success and ensure that the Ladies are seen as a fundamental part of their club rather than some obscure sideshow ... the world is changing, women's football is growing both on and off the field, and now is the time to establsh your brand in that area to take advantage and help your club overall ... I can only guess that once again you simply refuse to acknowledge the good thing Haigh has done here because you are stubborn ... I repeat, regardless of what we think of Haigh, he has done good things for our club

In fact, I am sick and tired of the constant negativity going on, and the plain immature short sightedness of people who only want to see things one way ... enough of this, I am taking a break from this board ... funny how people whine about JA606 being a cesspit of negativity and a place to be avoided ... well, congrats, seems we have reached their level at long last ... in Bates we trust

I'm not a political bloke, but it's seems IMO anyway that supporters politics are blinding their opinions regarding certain subjects.....and both sides are as stubborn as each other....that's the problem everyone thinks their opinions are right...<ok>
