Morning Troops, Good weekend? Leeds fought back from 1-0 down against a tricky Yeovil side on Saturday lunchtime. Second half goals from McCormack and a bizarre 40 yard free kick from Warnock was enough to keep us just about in touch in the race for a play off place. Warnock is an intelligent player, I reckon he knew what he was doing, well, thats what I would have said if I had taken it. So, Cellino has exchanged contracts with GFH, and is just awaiting League approval. He has a midweek meeting with the football league, and we can expect to have him in place by Thursday. Sounds like he is pretty straight talking. He is going to buy back Elland Road and Thorp Arch and has pledged to do what nobody else has done in a long time. Return us to the Premier League. Over to you....
Morning Elland and all. Great weekend helped by a Leeds win. Huge week ahead in the history of our club. FL approval and a new dawn beckons, refusal and the implications are frightening. Picked up these quotes on twitter from a Cagliari fan. See what you think. Gives a little insight into our guitar playing owner. I've said many times, I was fed up seeing mainly second rate players with limited technical ability joining Leeds, mainly cos it's all we could afford or attract. I think Cellinos approach will be the polar opposite. In twelve months we probably won't be able to pronounce most of our team @CagliariOffside: Cellino built strong relationships in Italy with owners at bigger clubs leading to some good players here. He will try to do it at Leeds. @CagliariOffside: Cellino left Cagliari because he couldn't take them to the next level. He feels he can do that with Leeds and he bought a great club cheap. @CagliariOffside: Leeds fans prior owners were horrible. Weather the volatility with Cellino as combined with your passion, the team has good days ahead. @CagliariOffside: @martinsuv @chrisdawkesITV give him time to learn the league. His moves will come this summer. Leeds has been stagnant sadly for years. @CagliariOffside: @chrisdawkesITV @PhilHayYEP Cellino is simply buying low on a misnanged club with a great history. Give him a chance.he is loyal and shrewd
I hope the FL realise that without Cellino our club will go into administration and probably liquidation later. The FL surely have a duty of care, and even though they may not like our new owner they have nothing concrete against him except rumor and hearsay. Bates was much worse but they allowed him free reign to rape a pillage the club and the fans
Morning all Saw someone posted asking for the match thread to get back to footballing matters. It's coming but it will be afternoon / evening I'm afraid. Mondays are always busy for me, so Tuesday night matches get a bit neglected!
Well in the past Doc, the FA has done Leeds sweet FA, but to cause them grief, look at the past record and it speaks for itself. Fingers crossed!!
What he's bought is a Ferrari restoration project. A 512 Berlinetta boxer, a 70's supercar in need of a complete engine overhaul and a bare metal respray. When she comes out of the workshop all gleaming (in the Ferrari change strip of yellow obviously) she'll be a head turning thoroughbred. We hope.
Morning Elland, words are easy, action is what will win the supporters over. If he does pass the FA bollocks and doesn't buy E.R back I won't be impressed.
You know yourself Doc, that the FA will not want to do Leeds United any favours and there are plenty of ****s out there who would love our club to vanish..
I was thinking the same, luckily we are now outside of any transfer window so he can't really do much apart from buy the ground as promised. Not sure how that would work with GFH retaining 25% of the share holding.
Morning all ... can't see Cellno being blocked, they allowed GFH to buy the club FFS ... pressure fully on McD now to get us to play offs, imagine the carnage at ER if we go up, can't see many players staying ... TC the donkey left ages ago to re-sign for his beloved Millwall ... has Morison managed to hit your target of five goals for the season yet? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
One step at a time, at the moment I would take going up and players leaving over players staying and remaining in this division. I don't believe for a split second we will get promoted this season, most I am hoping for is the club being debt free and owning the ground and facilities back As Irishshako said, if he doesn't buy the ground back and he is full of hot air then I won't be impressed either. At the moment I can't think past this getting the green light and him putting his money where his mouth is and securing our future with the ground purchase.

Manager on Festa - “I spoke to him on Friday and had a really good conversation with him,” McDermott said. “We spoke for 20 minutes. He’s a good man. “He’s a football man and if he’s involved, he wants to help the club. Whatever happens at our club, everybody has to be going in the same direction and that’s exactly how he feels. “There have possibly been misunderstandings or miscommunication, whatever you want to call it. But at any club everyone has to be going in the right direction.” Asked if he expected Festa to feature in his coaching staff when Cellino completes his takeover, McDermott said: “Possibly. I don’t know. But if he is then I’ve got no problem. “I thought it was important that we talked. It was a good conversation, he was pleased I made the phone call, and I’m sure he’ll be delighted we’ve won the game (at Yeovil).” http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....olds-clear-the-air-talks-with-festa-1-6428670
Morning all, anyone else on here going to the Brighton game tomorrow? Should be a great atmosphere with us taking 2,700 plus those of us in the home section Apparently Cellino will be at the game and is meeting McDermott for a post match meal to discuss the way forward.
