The fans have done a great job with their show of united support forBM this has scared both parties I think Cellino is a dead duck as it were
"A specialist sports solicitor" who didn't know that you can't sack the manager of a club you don't own. What a ****ing joke.
And while we're on the subject, if GFH aren't certain the deal will go through why the hell are they still allowing Festa to be at the training ground ? Why do we have an Italian player on-loan that the manager knows nothing about ? Why did the chairman have to tell all Elland Road staff today that they are not to take any orders from anyone outside the existing management structure ? GFH don't know their arse from their elbow and the sooner they are gone the better.
He want there involved in the actual training though apparently. No Italians to be seen on the training pitch.
I thought McDermott said in his press conference earlier today that Festa was at Thorp Arch this morning and we had an Italian player signed on-loan on Friday that he knows nothing about.
Sorry I clarified my post as you were typing. My info is coming from a staffer who just rang me and said wasn't at training. I presumed not at TA. Not sure there is any merit in continuing to post whispers as they are never as full as we would like. Some of the stuff seems accurate some less so.
Whispers are about all we have to go on at the moment GH, no-one seems to know what's going on including the manager and the current owners of the club.
After the last ten years of having owners without money, without the means to invest in players or the funds to buy back Elland Road and Thorpe Arch, it's looking likely that the only billionaire to come along to actually buy the club, a football man with the resources to do all of the above, will in the end be driven away, hounded out for more of the same cash poor owners we've been trying to get rid of. Suits with no idea how to run a football club, who, after years of knowing Leeds United were available to buy, belatedly decide to have a whip round, not to invest a significant sum to take the club forward, but simply to block a rival bid. It beggars belief.
Football man? No really, football man? Megalomaniac more like ... a football man doesn't sack 36 managers in 20 seasons ... the highest Cagliari have finished in Serie A is 9th ... now bear in mind this man has owned the club since 1992, how is it they are at best a struggling against relegation club if he is a football man? In Italy firing managers at the drop of a hat may be ok, but in English football his behaviour will only serve to destabilise the club, as he has already proved with the chaos we witnessed this weekend ... be patient, hopefully SC and Pearson's group join forces and buy the club, give us stability and guidance, and put us in a position where the right billionaire comes along and buys us Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Cagliari are the Italian equivalent of someone like Plymouth so no mean feat to get them in the top flight and keep them there, not to mention a UEFA Cup semi final. But you're right, we've had so many billionaires looking to buy us out over the last ten years, let's give this one a miss. There'll be another one along shortly
Cagliari like Plymouth? No, really? Cagliari won Serie A in 1970, so nothing like Plymouth at all. LiE, you are throwing your full support behind Cellino unconditionally, and that's okay, just don't defend the indefensible ... yes, he has money, but is that guaranteed to be pumped into Leeds? What is his intentions for Leeds? Blood future Cagliari managers? Send Cagliari youngsters to Leeds to gain experience? His track record as a leader of a football club is shocking, so he won't be bringing the much needed stability we crave Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Billy, Cellino gets my support at the moment as the only viable alternative to administration that I've seen. The guy is a twat, but until I see what these other consortiums are offering I can only pledge my support on what I see. I don't want another few years of a GFH type ownership where shares are traded left right and centre, lots of different owners under one umbrella. One outright owner offers more stability. And obviously Plymouth was a bad comparison
I understand LiE, if he wasn't so unpredictable I'd be right behind him myself Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
He didn't even own the club and he tried to sack Maccer, think he's poison, don't want him or his mates near the club and where are these administration rumour's coming from. Probably started by the eytie himself...
