The Box Office Speaks

Here is a response to a lad I personally know who contacted the box office to say he simply wasn't happy anymore. He wrote a detailed reasoning for his enquiry by the way and was very reasonable in what he put across.

Platitudes and cliches, heard it all before and to be honest l could have written that response myself without even having seen the original e -mail from the supporter.
I guess some response is better than none, but for me it's meaningless twaddle from another towing the party line

At least someone gave enough of a **** to actually respond, what do you want a letter telling the lad to **** off cause we don't give a ****e about the fans, I feel that for some no matter what the response they would bitch about it, have your cake and eat it why don't you.

 

Pretty hollow for me but at least they had the decency to offer a response. To be fair he has written to them not the other way round so all they can do is offer a written response. I wouldn't have wasted my time personally, actions speak louder than words. The clubs actions over the last 7 or 8 years tells me exactly where we are as a club. I accept it for what it is. ****e.

Borogully has it spot on, the actions speak volumes. If you're going to write back to fans, it's a complete cop-out writing this meandering guff. If you're going to tow the party line, why put such rubbish to paper? What's the point?!

The motivation of the original letter writer was clearly to put across the frustrations we've all felt during Ashley's stint as owner. Almost non-existant communication (when there has been, it's nonsensical pathetic rubbish as seen above), massive profits, low expenditure, poor value for money on the entertainment front, and complete disregard for the consumer base. How, in any shape or form, does this correspondence address that? It took weeks to appoint a man 98% of us said would be manager the day Pardew left FFS, and this letter babbles on about the future, whilst we all know full well who the manager will be come rain or shine. It's bullshit. Pure, unadulterated bullshit.

The small win I take away from this is that THIS fan was prepared to do something, even if it's a small action. The sooner more people do something the better.

Genuinely no surprised, and it's really sad, but I completely understand his sentiments. It was a wrench chucking mine, but quite honestly, it's just got worse and worse since I binned mine, so I'm not actually missing it too much.

I can't support this team under Ashley. It's not a football club anymore, it's genuinely just a private advertising agency that also occasionally holds football matches.

 

At least he got a reply, which he probably wasn't expecting.
It doesn't look like a bog standard response and IMO someone has actually put some time and effort into it, irrespective if you agree with the content or not.

 

My response to you is what do you want? a fan wrote a letter outlining their frustrations with the club, they got a response, they weren't ignored and their letter binned, so as I say what do you want? You really think an employee at the club is going to respond to a letter by trashing Ashley and his ownership of the club, I thought you were intelligent but all you prove is that you are one of the herd, I have bigger issues to deal with in my life right now so I am going to leave this alone as the level of negativity is depressing.
