    Morning all,

Don't know if anyone is watching at the moment, but on ITV4, they are showing The Big Match Revisited.

First game on is Villa vs Watford from February 1985. Have a visit back to the good old days and see how things have changed.

It started at 9am this morning. Should be able to get it on Iplayer somewhere along the line

Seeing Wilf Rostron playing with blood all down his face. Those were the days. Some top flight players now, if they break a fingernail, they think it's a life threatening injury <diva>

I loved that era as Watford on a tight budget could survive pretty well in the top Div... and have some half decent players... well actually,,, some great players!

Ah - Wee Wilf, one of the finest defenders ever seen in Watford colours. If only he was around today........

Not always - I was there when we beat Tommy Docherty's Villa 2-0 at Villa Park in 1969 to complete a memorable 3-month double - they were our first Div. 2 victims at Vicarage Road 3-0. Villa were strongly fancied for promotion from the old Div. 2 that season but instead were relegated.....
