Listening to Ehab on RH last night it's been confirmed that this season they aren't affecting our playing budget, so how does this affect the thinking about keeping/shipping them out.

For those that haven't heard it, Ehab said that NP has been given a good budget for this level, and that we currently have several (I'm taking it to mean the big 5) players outside of that budget (ie the Allams covering the wages) as they don't want the club going forwards to be handicapped by the mistakes of previous regimes.

I guess it explains why we're now playing hardball over the wages. It's much easier for the Allams to insist that if they're paying anything for the players then they want to have the players at their club when it's their own money they're spending than it is to justify them sitting in the stands taking over £100k/w between them when it's depriving the manager of money he could spend on other players for the team.

Since when they leave it's not going to free up any money to spend elsewhere though does it affect who people think we should try to offload or keep?

Also, it makes me wonder what our budget actually is. Alright we missed out on Danns, but Leicester can offer silly money so that explains that, but have we missed out on any other players so far due to better wages being offered elsewhere?

Business hasn't finished yet and the five are still here. Loads has been said about Bullard on here, but if dqpr don't sort their mess out,i don't expect any one else to come in for him, given the clubs stance on his wages. To be honest i don't even know which way i want that one to turn out.

None of them will leave except on loan. They will all see out their contracts. They are not going to move and have to take a paycut.

And if the Allams are paying their wages, they are hardly likely to subsidise 'loan' wages, are they? And who can blame 'em?

That's what i mean about the clubs stance on the wages. If no one will pay 45k for Bullard then we should expect him to stay and play ?

I don't expect any of the questions about Bullard to answered anytime soon. With Warnock coming out yesterday saying the only fee he expects to pay this summer is the one they've put in for DJ Campbell, suggests there interest in Bullard has either ended or come to a stalemate.

According to SKY the Campbell deal has stalled, can't agree Personal Terms.
So would seem that DQPR aren't pushing the boat out with wages.

I did think there might be a bit of that involved. Either way i think they're asking for trouble going for Bullard and Kieron Dyer, imagine those wages and the medical bills on top.

Really don't understand what is going on with DQPR - owned my people with serious cash and not seemingly buying anyone

I posted on here awhile ago that QPR have said they have a strict wage structure and arent going to cave in to pressure from agents. Now they may get desperate at the end of the window but i reckon not. This is how the Allams would be if we get back to the premiership and damn right it is too.

I agree. But it only works if all the clubs come to an agreement to behave in the same way.

The plan is ruined by clubs like Lester, West Ham and Brighton!

Not so. All the big teams run up huge debts chasing big players on big money. Teams that have done it like Blackpool make huge profits and have enough resources to keep taking the £50m windfall.

When it all comes crashing down, they'll be in a good position.
