The name of Tom huddlestone just won't go away:

Fulham and Aston Villa are willing to offer Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone regular first-team football in an attempt to lure him away from White Hart Lane.

The former Derby playmaker left the bench to help Spurs keep their Champions League aspirations alive in the 3-1 Premier League win over Manchester City.

But since returning from injury he has found it tough to find a place in Andre Villas-Boas’ plans, other than as a fringe player.

He certainly had a fine game against Man City and confirmed that on his day he's a splendid passer of the ball. That phrase "on his day" is my problem with Huddlestone and too often his play is only in 'flashes'. Is that a luxory we can afford alongside the likes of Ruiz? Or would they bring the best out of each other and in particular offer Bryan more freedom to play higher up (which is arguably his best position)?

When his name was being touted in January a figure of £5m was being mentioned. Even with reservations that seems a good price now.

I still think he'd be a good signing. He needs a good run of games to build consistency I reckon, which he's not had at Spurs hence the spotty performances.

Just one that won't go away, is he the new Derek Boateng or David Bentley? Certainly wouldn't be adverse to signing him, but it would have to be for £5m or under. Has a history of injury problems and is nowhere near the first team for Tottenham, so in Levy's book that probably means he's worth at least £10m.
