Temper, if I lost my temper over stuff like that life would be very difficult indeed and I'd be a lonely lonely man. So no mate, this posting thing, you can read what you like out of it and that is dictated by your current disposition, so check yours If I was as you say I am I'd be banned from this board, yeah I can go over the top a little sometimes, so can footballers, so can everyone, we all have bad days and it's very easy to slap out a few lines without giving it any real thought, the whole anonymous thing. Stop reading too much into it.
SOC, apologies for going over the top last night btwI was out of order. No apologies for mancs though, they've been giving me abuse for no reason since I joined.
I didn't cover myself in glory either tbf. Most regular footie forum posters have posted abuse in anger at one time or another, however there's got to be limits lad irrespective of how wound up you are. There's some things that are 'out of bounds' & there can be no excuse for going there. If you wouldn't say it to someones face then it's generally not appropriate imo.
I got banned on old 606 all the time... Mods didn't like the knosuj place times. Also got reported for being underage because I had a joke account that posted as a naive Everton kid that used to misunderstand things his Everton dad said. After that I was always on the run. Never banned here... too busy (and old/mature) to cause mischief now... besides I respect this place and opposition wums arnt out of control.
I am mature... just because I rename players "hairy teet" on football manager and snicker reading engrish.com all day doesnt make me immature does it?
I dont think im banned or have ever been banned from a board. I used to get lots of emails from 606 saying by post had been deleted for saying that he was wearing 'black' boots or accidentally writing 'twat' when i meant to write 'knowledgable football fan' HIAG on the Spurs board often deletes my posts off of the mouser thread as he doesnt like to be proved wrong or made to look stupid. But I quite enjoy that!
If you still think that then there's not much hope. You were banned for repeatedly calling someone with bowel disease "MrRunnyBottom" or some such. The fact people had complained about it before, and you had apologised and promised to stop before starting again, made me think it was unlikely it would get any better. Most Utd posters wouldn't mind you being unbanned, but the fact you continue to miss the point means it's unlikely to end well, particularly given you and Ruff tend to throw abuse at each other whenever you are anywhere near the same thread.
Old 606 was funny they had two lists of words. 1 words that were banned. 1 words that weren't banned but would automatically raise a flag for a moderator to review it. I managed to figure out a way to test if a word was on the second list... I found scores of words on there... some obvious ones like "hooker" legit for rugby, "idiot" usually used for insults... a few that made you scratch your head but you can figure out why like "sheep" and "mother"... And some that made no sense like "carp". Of course those of us that liked doing parodies were targeted "wunter" and "knosuj" both automatically flagged a post for a mod to review. Of course I had great fun always including a watch word when being innocent and avoiding them or mispelling watch words when being mischievous. I got one account banned by publishing a list of watch words.
I was banned from 606 because my username was the same as a famous person. I got an email telling me that usernames had to be no one famous so I complied.
I was banned from the Newcastle board a long time ago as they did not like the fact that i'd be their greatest ever manager. I got banned from the Man Utd ****board yesterday as they are sore losers.
I got banned from 606 along with a load of others when bombarded the manc board with links to various sites specialising in cheese. It was a bit of harmless fun, but the BBC didn't see it that way.
Is that really true? Does he? i had no idea. I didn't think he'd be able to do that unless you'd broke some type of abuse. What a sad **** that man is. If he's into delete posts he thinks aren't acceptable, he should start by deleting all his own. I've forgotten more about football than he actually knows.
