The rejected £30 million bid on Suarez.

Their Intention: Fool their fans that ambition is still there with £30 million bid, the largest in their history. This Arsenal are going places and spending. Win-win scenario. They actually get Suarez - a win. Liverpool obviously won't part cheaper than £40+ Million. Win for Arsenal board because they have fooled their fans that ambition is really there this off season and spending could happen if those other clubs accept our offers.

What really happened. Everybody saw through the charade for what it was. More interestingly, everyone knows you can concretely negotiate and flog a striker to Arsenal for £30 Million. For that money Rooney or Higuain or Benteke, their "former clubs" would laugh all the way to the bank.

    Funny bunch these gunners.

It's funny I was say something similar to a pal of mine, it's like they can't get hold of Higuain for 23 so they put in a pointless bid for Suarez to keep the fans at bay. It won't work though if come the end of the window they don't get some major improvements I'm sure the fans will soon start to turn.

It's rumoured the intention is to actually kick Real into trying to bid for Suarez themselves.

Once Real show concrete interest, Suarez will force the move and be gone in a few weeks. Real will then be more likely to sell Higuain, and probably at a fairly low price. If it works it's a great move for Arsenal - they get a top quality striker and cripple one of their main potential threats for fourth. If it works of course...

    well said <ok>
although heard Arsenal are doing that to frustrate Real bcz they are stalling on Higuain deal

but I agree with .. for me too, I think all that is a show with AW trying to convince his fans he is signing big now, by overing really cut price offer to a highly demanded players , if reports are true, they did that with Rooney too .. what is next? offering Barca 40m for Messi? <laugh>

Why has nobody considered that Arsenal may be genuinely interested and as per usual we have made a derisory first offer?

They haven't even made Real an offer for Higuain according to Real. The beeb had reported on it being pretty much a done deal. <doh> Looking at the site the football articles are just ones being repeated again and again. They are scratching about for any vague stories to reprint. Really **** sports news site.

I would not be one bit surprised if Arsenal have not in fact made an offer for Suarez at all and like the Higuain to Arsenal move article, entirely fabricated by some genius at the beeb.

    ****in love it<laugh>

They've been putting a picture of Ronaldo on the transfer news article header and when you read through 10 minutes of tripe there's nothing about Ronaldo at all. There have been two articles saying Liverpool have not signed that Armenian guy<doh> 3 articles saying Suarez is leaving and yet another today saying 3 clubs are interested without even a mention of any of the 3 clubs or actual quotes, just a comment saying Suarez said this on Uruguayan TV. Mr "Let me tell you something you already know while I go along with public sentiment "McNulty, I don't know how he picks up a salary for the ****e he lets dribble out his arse week in week out.

1- real activities on the transfer market .. remember talk is cheap what count is activity
2- history, is not like it is the first time AW promised some big money spending, but instead you end up making profits by selling your best players ..

the QS is will AW spend big this season? NO one knows tbh.. but given that he promised spending lots of times in the past but didn't delivered, i will not be that optimistic

<laugh> They do love a repeat of an article especially at the moment on Suarez at the moment, but I can see why Mcnulty gets a wage, 1000's of idiots read his articles and leave comments I don't think the BBC care that much if most of the comments are slagging him off.

Fortunately the BBC is still a public service broadcaster. Therefore they keep McNulty on to perform that vital public service of pissing off the scousers <ok>

The money is there to spend, that is a fact. Whether our stubborn deluded manager spends it or not is a different question.

well, let us see how it goes this time .. I think you need to add just 2-3 quality players to challenge for the title, and that 70m quoted should be enough .. but i don't trust AW or even the board tbh to spend that big, they both have interest to keep Arsenal fans happy and keep you buying season ticket and merchandises, but there is a point when Arsenal fans will be pi$$ed off and thus board will be forced to spend, so may be we reached this point now and the club are serious to buy big, so let us wait and see.
